We chose the new Fairmont hotel (Clock tower hotel) for our stay at Makkah. On the outside its massive and elegantly designed with the huge clock on top of it.

Inside it was spacious and nicely decorated, very aesthetic and prestigious. The security measures were high, there were guards in almost every corner.

I liked the furnishments a lot, though it was little exhausting to use two elevators to get to your room. Double room costs 84 K.D, but we got it for 74 K.D including breakfast.

The room was neat, spacious and luxurious. Relaxing beds, nice lighting and free Internet connection and nice window view for Al Haram. Room service was excellent and responsive too.

They had a restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Their breakfast is one of the best that I have seen with regards to food taste, quality, and diversity.

The hotel also had a multi-level shopping center with many knowns brands, cafe’s and restaurants. I liked how close it was to Al Haram. sadly the Gym & SPA will open after so I couldn’t review them.

My only remarks are the over-security, room accessibility, and relatively high rate. The hotel still one of the best in Makkah and I’ll stay in it next time I come to Makkah.

Score: 9/10

Salam.. thks for the review. Great pics! I assume this is this the normal deluxe haram view and not the signature kaabah view?
If it is, were you able to see the kaabah from your room, and how much of it can be seen? It’d be great if you can include pictures of the view from your room window.
    Many Thanks!
