While enjoying my vacation in Dubai, I decided to have dinner at the long awaited popular American restaurant The Cheesecake Factory that was opened two days ago at Dubai Mall, we arrived there at around 8:00 pm and it was so crowded. They told us that we need to wait 40 minutes or more and gave us a buzzer, they said we can stroll across Dubai Mall until the table is available.

This is their first branch in the Middle East, and shortly they are opening in Kuwait. We were starving literally and more than 50 minutes passed yet we didn’t get a table, but guess what? It was worth the wait. Inside it was really big and nicely designed, there were many waiters serving the customers.

Just like the U.S. branch, the menu was extensive and there were about 200 items to select from such as milkshakes, appetizers, salads, pizzas, burgers, pasta, fish & seafood, steak & chops, sandwiches, eggs & omelettes, soft drinks and of course add to this their main specialty; the cheesecakes.

Starters

Grilled Chicken Tostada Salad: Crisp corn tortillas topped with grilled marinated chicken breast with fresh corn, onions, mixed greens (Tasted good and the portion was enough for 3 people).

Factory Nachos: Served with melted cheese, Jalapenos, and spicy chicken; tasted good and it was more than enough.

Main Dish

Chicken Tenders: It was crispy and tasted good too served with sweet sauce and barbecue.

Chicken Madeira: This is their most popular chicken dish and tasted great (recommended). Our drinks were passion fruits Mojito and soft drinks.

Dessert

Original: The one that started it all, creamy cheesecake with a Graham Cracker crust and sour cream; liked it.

Ultimate Red Velvet: This one was my favorite of all.

We were having really good time; the staff were friendly and service level was great and general ambient was nice though I wish if they had Arabic menu and included dishes pictures to make ordering easier. The prices varied and our check came Dhs 360 (about KD27) but our orders were many as you can see and please don’t ask me how many calories I consumed.

Address: Dubal Mall – Opposite to the main aquarium (2nd branch will soon open in Mall of Emirates)

In the US, they list the calories per item. Be glad they don’t that over here. It is UNBELIEVABLE. Can’t wait for the Kuwait location.

Yes I wished they listed the calories for each item on the menu, but guess customers will be too scared to try the 800+ calories :) yeah I will soon let you know when exactly it’s opening in Kuwait stay tuned.

  6. The CF is delicious until you find out that each item is almost a day’s worth of calories. The opening of the CF might put Kuwait at #1 and the USA at #2 on the list for obesity next year. ;0

Taz, so when they open you’re treating me? :P
