I just read on several websites that SONY will most likely unveil Playstation 4 on the 20th of February, that’s only a few weeks from now. I guess there’s a drag race between Microsoft and SONY, both companies are trying to release their consoles rather quickly. I’m now wondering what will be the specs for PS4 but rumors say it will sport 8GB or 16GB memory, quad core AMD’s A8 processor with 3.2 Ghz clock speed and Radeon HD 7670 graphics card with 1Ghz clock speed and 1GB memory. I hope rumors are not true because these specs seem average, also I thought they were going for Nvidia GeForce but Radeon is hot too.
Word on the street is that PS4 will produce maximum resolution of 2160p for 2D and 1080p for 3D but I guess we have to wait till we get the official specs. So who do you think will be more powerful, upcoming Xbox 720 or SONY PS4?
I find out that Nintedo’s Wii successor, Wii U, was unveiled at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles (E3 2011). I loved the Wii, but it was overwhelmed by PS3 and X-Box, and now Nintendo is trying to make a strong come back with their new Wii U gaming console.
Some of the specs include a support for HD 1080p resolution, HDMI, fast IBM processor, AMD Radeon HD video card, front-facing camera, touchpad, 25 GB high capacity discs..etc.
It seems it will be very powerful, and defintely beats PS3. Nintendo said it will be realesed in 2012, I’m sure SONY will expedite the release date of their upcoming PS Vita (PSV).
