Do we have steroids mania in Kuwait?
As I parked my car at the gym yesterday I noticed a bunch of disposed needles and syringes, it looked really outrageous. I’m seeing very young guys taking steroids everyday like they’re taking food at the gym unaware of the dangers and harm they’re doing to themselves on the long run and despite that I’m seeing more and more guys abusing steroids and its becoming like a trend or should I call it “Steroids mania” in Kuwait.
If I have to list down the steroids side-effects I’ll end up writing whole day long, even some pharmacies are now selling steroids for insanely high prices (I’m talking 100-400 KD range) and the young naive bodybuilders are paying that high just to get that over-sized muscles look.
Another problem is that some well-known personal trainers who own gyms in Kuwait and charge ridiculously high are in fact steroids users and are fooling people by claiming that they have achieved their fitness naturally. My advice for every beginner body builder, do not be tempted with over-sized muscles and focus on achieveing natural results (It takes time, efforts, and dedication) and I know how frustrating it is to see how some guys in the gym get big so fast but you’re the winner at the end.
