I saw on the popular video games website IGN that world Street Fighter champion and Sagat player, Ryan Hart, is coming to Kuwait to participate in the biggest fighting game tournament in the Middle East which will take place at GUST on November. I read the tournament will feature prizes worth over KD4,500 and will include games like Street Fighter IV, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Ultimate Marvel versus Capcom 3, and Persona 4, looks fun!
Update: The tournament organizers has contacted me, they say the first winner in each game will get KD600, and 2nd gets KD300 and rest will get KD100
Literally, hundreds of hardcore gamers from Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, KSA and Oman came to compete. Prizes were MacBooks, iPads, Large Sony LED TV’s, iPhones..etc, I really want a big TV !
The games were Call of Duty 6, FIFA soccer, Street Fighter, World of War craft, Tekken.
Its nice to see such events in Kuwait, at least the young guys can enjoy instead of only going to the malls.
The tournament is sponsored by Fasttelco, and organized Gamerz Zone, and Devils Game.
Fasttelco says they have new ADSL service called “Game Pal” especially for gamers with dedicated IP addresses to play online with faster speeds.
I’m pretty sure that hard-gamers will love this news. The famous Japanese Street Fighter player Daigo “The Beast” Umehara will be coming to Kuwait at the end of September to fight against Kuwait’s best Marvel vs Capcom 3 (MvC3) and Street Fighter players at Freeze Club in 360 Mall.
I have checked his bio, this guy is like the best Street Fighter player of all time !
Freeze Club at 360 Mall will have a tournament for Super Street Fighter: Arcade Edition with cash prizes for winners. The tournament starts on the 15th of July at 6 PM.
Hard fighting gamers will enjoy this news ! Freeze Club at 360 Mall will organize a competition in the fighting game Marvel Vs Capcom 3 next Thursday at 6:00 pm, competitors of all ages are welcome.
Guess what the prize will be ? Its going to be the new Nintendo 3DS with 2 new games ! I really wish I can play and win
I spoke with the organizer today and he said you can either register by phone or in-person, he also said that interested people can come to play the game and prepare for the competition. If you win, give me the 3DS and enjoy the glory
