events11Recall my post about the two Kuwaiti artists, brothers Ya’koob & Humble Abdul which are also known as Sons Of Yusuf? They are organizing a charitable event on January 11th where they will be performing live (Arabs in Paris & other songs) featuring Army Of One and Skywalker. Tickets are on sale now and must be purchased in advance in order to be on the invitation list. I certainly would love to see them performing the song Arabs in Paris live on stage.

musicalbum11The two Kuwaiti artists, brothers Ya’koob & Humble Abdul also known as Sons Of Yusuf has released their new music album under the name “2 Of Arabia’s Most Wanted” which is now available for download totally free. I just downloaded the whole album for free from their website and it got 19 songs, I’m liking the album cover and their song “Arabs in Paris”, it’s fun to listen to while cruising in this cool weather.

The full album is available freely for download [link], but you need to have WinZip to open the compressed file.

Thanks [Ya’koob & Abdul][grapevinekuwait]

A friend of mine just got the new 5th generation of Apple iPod Touch 32GB from Eureka for KD119 (yes expensive), my first impression was that it looks almost identical to iPhone 5 except it was lighter and thinner. It has 4″ Retina display which is clear and sharp, menu was exactly similar to the iPhone because both use iOS 6, I noticed there was 5 mega pixels camera that produces photos of 1936 x 2592 resolution and HD videos.

It comes in several colors and includes the new Apple earbuds, new charging cable, and lightning cable. I liked the backside smooth finish, also the strap can be attached/detached by pressing a button on the backside. I tried to play a song and use Apple new earbuds, I was satisfied with audio quality and volume. So do I recommend getting an iPod Touch? Well, unless you really want it, stick to your iPhone 5 for music or get the iPod Mini.

I was looking for a mini DJ Mixer for music and songs, and I found this really tiny and very light DJ Mixer that fits in your pocket called Pokket Mixer for KD35 at Eureka in Salmiya, they said it just arrived. It can be connected to iPod, iPhone, Samsung Galaxy SIII or any music source and you can output the your remixed music on any speakers.

I find it ideal for parties or simply to re-mix your favorite songs for say the gym or beach walk.

I came across this nice political song by Mishaal Al Arouj through our friend Buzfairy, it really describes the sad situation we are currently living in Kuwait. Let’s hope things change for the better!

Recall my post about the new rapper in Kuwait so-called Big D? There were too many arguments whether he’s got a career in R&B or just a waste of time, well he came up with two new songs; No Turning Back featuring Hera and a political song titled Peace & Harmony.

We have worked along with the spectacular Kuwaiti rapper, DUB G, on a special dedication for our beloved Kuwait, the result is an amazing song coupled with a video clip that we have shot in High Definition for Kuwait City.

I admit shooting the video was challenging, also the editing took long but this is the least we could do for our beloved Kuwait! We wish to thank DUB G, it was really pleasure working with him.

My friend sent me this really nice song called “Bnayty El Habouba” via What’sApp and it made me want to give mama a deep long hug.

It was aired on TV last Eid, I think the little girl is that one from Arab’s Got Talent show.

Thanks [Dallal]

If you are a violin lover, like myself, then you will enjoy the Slovakian violinist Jan Fila at 360 Mall. He starts playing cool violin music every evening at 7:00 pm at the main Atrium near the cafe’s.

It would be cool to have your coffee or dinner while listening to violin.
