Spotted this on Al Anba newspaper, apparently a local Co-op Society gave a citizen a 32 fils cheque, yes you read it correctly, for the annual profits with envelope written on “Congratulations you won 30 fils”.

I came to know about a Kuwaiti company specialized in recycling paper waste such as books, newspaper, notes, magazines..etc named “Recyclink” and use them to re-make usable materials.

They deliver the trash bins to your house, store or office and collect theme on regular basis, awesome ! I recall a study that says Kuwait has a lot of paper waste.

I read on Kuwait Times that Ministry of Education will replace traditional school books with flash memory starting before the Eid holiday, the project cost is K.D 259,000.

I find this excellent idea, students can now have books on their iPads or any tablet computer, they can also view them easily as PDF files. Add to this the money we could save for paper and printing, and on the positive effect on environment.

Now for a whole week I have been going to the Ministry of Interior to get some paper work done but the offices were almost always empty and everyday I’m asked to come tomorrow, in normal days this process takes 1-2 days to finish !

I really love Ramadan and enjoy each day but I don’t like how some consider it as “Hibernation time”.

I was surprised to see the number of free newspapers left on my car’s windshield, the poor papers are doing tremendous job in marketing, I can’t complain.

Though I hate the annoying  flyer’s !
