I saw the KFC billboards for their new shrimp meal, never knew KFC had shrimp, even though my rules say “NO” to fast food the advertisement managed to drive my imaginations enough to try it.
I called their hotline and ordered the meal, the box reminds me of shrimpy fisherman meal, inside there was a small barbeque sauce, 8 pieces of shrimp and some dull full-of-fat french fries.
I tasted the shrimp, it had the same hot recipe from the Zinger but was high in fat, the fries looks nothing like the Ad. I’d rather stick to shrimpy if I’m not craving hot spice.
Its been sometime since I enjoyed Iranian food, luckily I was invited by the new Green Apple restaurant at Dasman area.
It was opened 3 days ago and I posted about it before, so far its the biggest restaurant in Kuwait and there are three restaurants: Lebanese, Iranian, and Indian/Chinese on three levels.
Inside it was spacious and the decorations were fancy. We chose to try the Iranian restaurant on second floor.
The staff were very friendly, the menu had many dishes to select from. For starters we picked tabouleh, hummus, moutabal and lentil soup.
All were tasty, Tabouleh needed little salt though. As for main dish, we had Kebab, zafran rice, chicken and Ghormeh sabzi (Shabzi), I liked the Chicken and Kebab.
The drinks were orange juice and strawberry, liked the orange but didn’t like the strawberry. Finally we had Lebanese Kanafa for sweets, tasty !
Prices were reasonable, the service was great (Just a little more practice because they are new). Generally, I liked the Green Apple restaurant and it will look even better when fully finished.

I went over to the newly opened frozen yogurt shop SNOG at Mohalab complex in Hawally. Snog was first opened in London three years ago, and like the others lacks fat and sugars.
First thing I asked their manager is, what does snog means here? He explained that it has to do with kissing and loving for delicious yogurt they serve.
My other question was; how different is SNOG from the others? The natural ingredients, fresh ingredients and toppings, gluten-free, low-calorie natural sweeteners that are healthy even for diabetic people; he explained.
They had four flavors: Natural, chocolate, calamansi, and strawberry. I tasted them and liked the calamansi, the decorations were really nice and colorful and the prices were similar to the others.
I also liked they have nice bags for take-away orders, the toppings felt natural and I can tell the yogurt itself was lighter.
Generally, I had great experience and I find them worth the try. They will open other branches in Souk Sharq, Avenues Mall, Marina Mall, and Hamra tower.

I had Leban for my Iftar today but I saw the Leban was one day expired and I drunk it with no issues, many are too scared to eat a yogurt or drink a Leban if they notice that they are one day past expiry date and just trash it, though nutrition experts say its totally safe. Dr. Abdulla Al-Mutawa (Nutritionist) had mentioned on twitter that expired yogurt can be eaten up to three weeks after expiry date if refrigerated properly, many other nutritionists have said the same.
If afraid, check the smell and if there’s no discoloration, otherwise its all fine. Though, I have to say the expired Leban was far more tasty !
I was at the airport last night and saw that Pinkberry had opened their branch at the first floor since July, so now we can enjoy frozen yogurt while boarding and on planes. Luckily, it wasn’t as crowded as the other branches.
Now the good news is that Pinkberry started home delivery service to Jabriya and Surra.
