A blog reader who liked my post Chucky lives in Kuwait sent me a video for scary Jason Voorhees barge in KFC in Kuwait, that’s why I think applying Cinescape Movie Rating System is good otherwise we might see Jason, Friday 13 and even Texas Chainsaw Massacre wandering around Kuwait streets.

Thanks [Nawaf]

twittercafe11I spotted this in Al Dajeej area, I know for sure that choosing a catchy name for your cafe or restaurant makes a difference but I don’t know if I could consider naming a cafe Twitter (تويتر) original? This isn’t everything because I remember seeing another cafe named Instagram opening soon in Ardhiya and a restaurant named re-tweet. I guess I should go ahead now and reserve the name Keek for my future business.

funny122This was spotted at Souk Mubarkiya, one of the oldest restaurants in Kuwait serving livers and hearts since 1953 displayed a sign stating that restaurant is closed for one month because the chef is on vacation. I suppose the chef can easily demand a salary increment since obviously the restaurant can never run without him.

The restaurant will re-open on 25th February, so who’s in for livers?

I don’t usually attend any comedy shows or plays in Kuwait, but I came to know that there will be two hours stand up comedy show called “The Comedy Hangout” featuring the funny Kuwaiti guys from the YouTube channel Sheno Ya3ni TV. I called them to ask about their prices, they said there are two tickets available; V.I.P for KD25 and regular for KD15 but they said these are the online prices, so if you bought the tickets directly they will charge KD2 more.

As I left The Avenues Phase III yesterday afternoon heading to my car that was parked nearby Baroue I observed that Phase II has turned into a ghost mall, it looked funny in a way. I guess The Grand Avenue District grabbed everyone’s attention as they explore it. Even today I visited other malls and they felt empty either, the Grand Avenue is certainly taking the shopping experience in Kuwait to a whole new level, so other malls now need a lot more to attract shoppers.
