Looks like Kuwaiti investors are fed-up with local stock exchange because I read that Kuwaiti, Saudi, and Emarati businessmen are starting to invest millions in Hollywood movies, now that’s a smart investment in one of the biggest industries of our time.
Now let’s see what are the hit movies we have this year:
Winter 2012: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, James Bond: Sky Fall.
Spring 2012: Men in Black III, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, Underworld: Awakening, Titanic 3D.
Summer 2012: The Dark Knight Rises, The Avengers, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Expendables 2, The Bourne Legacy.
A week ago we made a vote to find out what is the most desired career in Kuwait, and today we bring you the results. I did expect some of the results while others were “UNEXPECTED” at all as you will see:
As we can observe from the bar graph above, NBK is the highest desired career in Kuwait with 20% of people wish to work there, 2nd place had gone to Other jobs (16%); which possibly mean government sector, petroleum sector (KPC, KOC, KNPC..etc) or other private companies.
EQUATE petrochemicals came in 3rd place. Its interesting how KFH, Zain, and Cinescape shared the same percentage (8%). Tijari Bank and GLOBAL Investment House however did not receive any votes (0%), guess people are not comfortable with the idea for working with them.
Also people showed little interest in the investment, insurance and real estate sectors.
So what are the most desired private companies in Kuwait? I’m sure many of the fresh graduates are trying to find the answer based on the benefits (Salary, bonus), nature of work, work environment and promotions.
There are also many with current jobs but are seeking to change their jobs, I even read a study that an average person will change his job about 5 times or more during lifetime.
The Kuwaiti private sector has become more attractive than before, so which of these companies would you love to work in?

ولاحظنا ان البنوك وسهم زين قادا نشاط السوق في 2010، بل انه يمكن القول بأنهما انقذا السوق. والان مع بداية 2011 هناك الكثير من العوامل الإيجابية التي يتوقع ان تدفع أداء السوق لأن يكون أفضل من 2010، وبعض هذه العوامل كالتالي:ا
1. حرص الجهات الحكومية على تسريع وتيرة تنفيذ المشاريع التنموية التى تصل ميزانيتها نحو 37 مليار دينار لأربع سنوات مع توقعات بانفاق حكومي يقدر بنحو 10.6 مليارات دينار ضمن الخطة التنموية في 2011.ا
2. سيكون هناك انتعاش لقطاع البنوك الذي سيقود قطار القطاعات في البورصة بقيادة البنك الوطني كما حدث في العام 2010، لذلك فإنه من الضروري التركيز على أسهم البنوك.ا
