One month has passed since I started my diet program, and what I did is stand on the balance every Friday to monitor my progress. I started at about 95.5 KGs and my planned target was to lose 10 KGs to get it down to 85 KGs in a month, and today early in the morning I was kinda anxious when I weighed myeslf, you see I was challenging myself that I can do it, my weight is now 87 KGs, so I lost 8.5 KGs (That’s 1.5 KGs less than my planned target).
I observed that I lost weight fast when I started (mostly water I guess) but when I reached 88 KG I felt like I hit a Plateau, my weight just won’t go down, there was some kind of a resistance. I’m sort of happy but I won’t stop there, still got 2-3 KGs to go.
So what did I do? I started a balanced diet and eated healthy food and cut on the sweets, junk food, and fried foods. I replaced simple carbs with complex carbs (Brown rice, brown bread, bran cereals… etc.) and drank lot of low-sodium water, I hit the gym 4-5 times a week and did resisitance exercises while adding 3-4 times cardio sessions (Each 30-40 mins long such as stairing, jogging, treadmills), I enjoyed cheat days evey Friday where I was allowed to consume 2000 calories, rest of the week I had about 1200-1300 calory a day.
Note: Thanks to those who gave me great piece of advice. Read my previous post here
