I love watching fighting championships (especially UFC) so I went over to the Gladiators Fighting Championship that was organized at Kuwait International Fair in Mishref, this is the first ever cage fighting championship in Kuwait and guess what? It exceeded my expectations. I arrived at the main entrance but the security won’t let me in, I had to make some calls to manage to get in, inside there was a cage in the center (just like those of UFC) surrounded by platforms with thousands of guys came to enjoy the fighting.
Literally I could sense testosterone and adrenaline-rush everywhere, the loud cheers gave the fighting more suspense. The lighting and audio arrangements were pretty cool, also the way the fighters were introduced was cool. There were Over 20 Mixed Martial Arts fighters from around the world, the level of fighting skills was also admirable. There were TV coverage too, the championship was enjoyable by all means, my remark is that we need more support for such championships in Kuwait if we want them to be more profissional, also we need separate clubs to hold such events.
I shot a video and tried to take many close-up pictures, though I’m still improving my photography skills especially for taking pictures of moving objects.

Ok, I went to the event yesterday it was a JOKE .. very unprofessional judges and refs … mma in Kuwait us a fail if next something like this happens … the whole show failed with all the bum fights, seriously.. how can you mix in kick-boxing in an MMA cage? And the amateur refs keep giving time to players to recover …
Oh and most fighters played are in the wrong weight classes… what a rip off and hype for advertisement.
Sorry about coming here suddenly , but i felt i should say this somewhere.
I agre with above comment that they failed in some of the MMA aspects but considering this is the first time and with the minimum support they are getting I think it was relatively good show.
i didng go there and i dont have that much of info about kick boxing but i like the event.. we need more of these events in kuwait
new places to go and enjoy our times instead of restaurants and cinemas all the year
