I just saw the breathtaking video for skydiver Felix Baumgartner breaking the world record (and the supersonic barrier too) by jumping from the edge of space at 39,000 meter high and speed of 1,100 KM/hr, that’s fast! With this achievement he broke the previous world record that was made in 1960.
However he did not break the previous record for longest freefall duration because he opened the parachute too soon.
It was his protocol to open at 5k feet. So He knew he cannot break tha record.
But I guess it is more than record.
