I received this photo from a friend for a big fire at Chicken Tikka in Salmiya area early this morning, I’m not sure what is the cause of the fire yet. I really hope no one was hurt, sadly I liked this place a lot !
I also hope the fire did not reach for Bhs and the restaurants complex at the back.

Purpose? I can only imagine what purpose that would lead someone to start such a fire but yeah that’s possible.

Jealously or perhaps a intended to small damage but made it big. I started my running at around 4:30 and on my way back I couldn’t breathe properly as I was in the middle of all black smoke which I realized later.. and then I saw the entire building on fire. I took many pictures – If you’d like them, let me know.
No one was hurt (just so you know) – and this is sad because my family use to have a hotel in the US and someone started a fire out of rivalry and our entire hotel was destroyed (it costed 5 million dollars) and my parents went backkrypt and then we moved back to Kuwait. It was a horrible and very sad experience.
Therefore I can relate to such business owners and people who are employed as the jobs are at risk now – we should be careful on such incidents and avoid doing things which can cause fire even things like ‘smoking and throw your cigar outside the window..’
I hope people learn and not see and forget.
We are very sorry for hearing the story of your family business, fires are bit issue in Kuwait and in 2011 alone I posted about several fires in several spots, causes can be anything – even a tiny un-extingushed cigar.
I’m glad everyone is safe, though I still can’t explain how the fire started at such early time when the restaurant is not yet operating.
Let’s wait and see if they can investigate the causes.

Saif no one is yet sure about the cause of this massive fire at Chicken Tikka, I guess the police are still investigating the causes behind the fire that started very early in the morning.
Fortunately no one was hurt, thanks God, but I feel sad for this place, I liked it a lot and been there with my family for quite many times before.
I’ll keep you updated if I come to know about anything.

I go to this gaming place right next to Tikka called King’s, with state-of-the-art computers, fiber-optics internet, LCD tvs, bowling, and many more, every thursday, and it saddens me greatly to see all of it gone in minutes. My regards to the owner because of how much he must have lost, and I hope they all recover shortly.
lets hope owner has full insurance, just sad.
