Yesterday in 360 Mall I saw they opened the Sky Lounge which is a new expansion for the food court, and there were three new restaurants.
Burgerholic: If you thought we already have enough burger joints in Kuwait, think twice. I’m not sure if it’s a franchise or a Kuwaiti-based concept, I didn’t try their burgers either, anyone any idea?
Figs: Now correct me if I’m wrong but I think this is the same high-end pizzerias in Boston by celebrity chef Todd English? I read they serve Neapolitan-style pizzas with thin crusts served on inverted sheet pans, as well as salads and pastas. It’s opening by end of November.
Sakura: It’s the same Japanese restaurant in Crown Plaza hotel in Farwaniya, I remember I tried once long ago and liked their Teppanyaki. The other branches are located in Abu Halifa, next to Al Shaab Park, and in Laila Gallery Salmiya.
Yeah I think that’s the Figs in Boston because they have the same logo as the one in Boston.

Wish I had known this place existed when I was visiting in Boston this summer. It’s simply divine: the food is heaven which is more than I can say about the lighting for this place. Reading the flyer I thought the Todd English experience at 360 was going to be all about dining under the stars. Cor blimey! It felt more like dining under a 1000 watt light bulb. They definitely need to tone it down a bit for that touch of class. But perhaps more importantly, their thin crust pizzas with carpaccio topping rocks. The entrees and sides are amazing too. Haven’t come across anything so haute cuisine as this in a very long time in Kuwait. Full marks to Kharafie on not bringing to Kuwait just another casual American diner doing junk food and more of it. What I like best about the food is it’s high amplitude blending in the component flavors complimented by all the different sauces there are and the fact that portion sizes are unlike anything I have encountered in Q8. Just right to call it healthy. Takes me back to a slice of Italy in SoBo I have known called Quattro near the Palladium, High Street Phoenix.
