A while ago I was having my lunch at T.G.I Friday’s Gulf road branch with a friend, and I asked the waiter for the check and told him to get me K-NET. Moments later the waiter said the payment was declined, how come I don’t even have 3 K.D and 900 fils ! But when I checked the receipt it actually was 39,606.880 K.D !
I laughed my guts. Apparently, the poor in math waiter entered the check incorrectly. At least it now makes perfect sense why the payment was declined because I clearly don’t have 39 thousands K.D in my bank account yet.

A few weeks ago we posted about the Classic cars photography competition organized by Classic Cars Museum, and today we received an E-Mail from the organizers that visitors can now visit the Museum in Shuwaikh and vote for the displayed pictures until the 28th.
There are over 180 competitors using different pro DSLR cameras.
The DSLR shots look really hot ! We really have a growing photography community in Kuwait, Mashallah !

The 25 years of people’s most favorite show, Oprah Show, came to an end. Oprah Winfrey, was an inspiring character for many, even here in Kuwait, many loved her show and learned a lot from her.

I remember I used to see “Harrys of London” shoes shop at Mayfair when we visit the U.K., and I noticed that it was recently opened at 360 Mall (Level One / G7). They offer stylish, modern shoes defined by exceptional quality and timeless design.

I awoke late this morning, the clock was almost 8:00 AM, I hit the King Fahad highway and I kept pressing on the accelerator, then I turned on the Kuwait FM radio just to hear that cute cozy caring voice “Be careful on your way to work”, it was Linda from FM 99.7 Radio Kuwait.
I slowed down, thank you Linda for reminding me to slow down ! But then I kept wondering, what’s the story behind Linda ? How does she look like? Where she’s from?..etc. and here I came to answer you some of these questions.
Linda is a single mom, I think American, who used to work for the American Academy for Girls in Kuwait (A.A.G) before when she came to Kuwait, radio dictator was not her “job”, but later moved to work with Kuwait FM radio station.
I like how she gives us update every morning on the traffic, weather, and road safety, also about the latest offers and events in Kuwait. I came to know that she has a blog too, its called Linda Corner Today.

I love stand-up comedy shows, but sadly we have a few shows in Kuwait. There was a Kuwaiti stand-up show back on the 19th of May at Dasman diabetes center, luckily I got the videos !
The show was made by Huda Ma’arafi, Bashar Al-Jazaf, Fahad Al-Otaibi and others.

I was checking out iPhone 4 new accessories, you see I got an iPhone 4 now, and I read about new 360 degrees lens that can be fixed to the iPhone for Panoramic pictures and video, amazing !
