Occupying 2,410-square-feet in the Prestige district, the new boutique is the second-largest store for Tiffany & Co. in the Middle East and the third location to be opened by the luxury jeweler in Kuwait. Have any of you seen this one around? A friend spotted it parking in his block a while back, I liked the idea of having mobile grooming and barber in K-town. Though not sure if they are for Men or pets?

Thanks [Tariq]

13ee5e5c3dac64edbd496d8e48703e0d478245fdI was in for a nice surpirse when I found out that Chiquita Fruit Bar opened up at the The Souq in the Avenues last night. The opening was really nice as they had a live band playing some cool jazz tunes with plenty of samples to go around. The fruit juices are simply divine, and the ice cream definitely makes you want to go back for more. The ice cream is made from 100% natural ingredients used from daily fresh fruits, with no sugar! The sweetner they use is organic agave which, for me, made the taste ten times better than any ice cream I’ve ever had.

I would recommend this place for any diabetic who can’t enjoy the usual sugary ice creams that we enjoy or for anyone who’s a fruit juice lover. I’m heading there right now, that baby cocount is calling out to me!

241563_eI read on the news that the strong earthquake that rattled the west coast of Iran (only 90 km away from Bushehr nuclear reactor) also hit Kuwait and was recorded. I haven’t felt anything in my deep sleep but residents of Salmiya, Hawally, Kuwait City and coastal areas have felt it in the afternoon, and according to KISR the earthquake details are:

Magnitude: 6.3 on Richter scale

Depth: 10 KM

Date Time: 9th April 2013

According to the experts the earthquake was so close to Bushehr nuclear reactor and may have caused a nuclear leakage! Scary. Am I the only one who thinks that it is time for Kuwait to have a nuclear emergency preparedness and response plan?

20130406_164210The Bazza Cafe at Qadisiya Co-Op has just opened on the first floor, it’s a traditionally designed Kuwaiti concept cafe that serves traditional food and drinks. The seating were neatly designed and the decorations looked nice. I remember I liked their Murabyan. Read my previous experience [link]

Spiderman protects New York City, Batman protects Gotham City and Shellman has finally come to protect Kuwait City. I’m fan of comics and always wanted to see a Kuwaiti based superhero comics. Shell Man is an upcoming Kuwaiti super hero Manga-like comics, it was thought and created by Dr. Abdul Razaq Jawhar and set to release shortly.

shellman11Though in order to have a successful superhero comics you need a strong story. Shellman parents were murdered and he was thrown into the sea as an infant, where he was then found and raised by a giant genetically-modified oyster. The shell have passed on the super genetics to Shellman and that gave him super powers, but as the case with other superheros he had one weakness; he can’t survive in the air for longer than 24 hours, that is.

So far I’m liking the story and the graphics look relatively decent but I’ll wait to see the movie to give my verdict. There will also be comics in both Arabic and English languages soon. Yes Kuwait desperately needs a superhero for the increasing crimes, numerous accidents and frequent fires, what do you say?

Have you guys heard about this whole new supercar so-called Lykan? Supposedly it’s the first ever Arabian Super Car in the world, and it happens to be the most expensive ever. Lykan was made by Lebanon, they say it has an enhanced Porsche engine that produces 751 horsepower and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in merely 2.8 secs and reach the astonishing top speed of 395 km/hr! This even beats the latest and fastest Ferrari, LaFerrar F70, that was recently unveiled at Geneva motorshow, superb.

Though this doesn’t come cheap since Lykan costs over 3.4 Million Dollar (One million Dinar roughly) making it the most expensive supercar ever made. I’m pretty sure that many of you “speed lovers” are now dying to see this supercar in real, right? The answer is yes you can and in Kuwait!
