I read on Al Anba paper that the long awaited privatization of Kuwait Airways will take place in less than a month through a decree from Council of Ministers, they say it will become a private company that operates under the supervision of Kuwait Investment Authority and a new board of directors will be formed.
Meanwhile their emergency plane is to hire private jets, this is probably the umpteen time I hear such news but let’s hope things go smoothly this time.
Update: I received news on January 23rd, 2013 that Kuwait National Assembly has approved to convert Kuwait Airways into private sharing company.
We’ve been about the privatization for years now. I hope they get serious about it

Stuff only happens when it’s too late. Being reactionary never works.
Sadly this is how many things are going in Kuwait, hope things change.
