A blog friend emailed me this photo for a police patrol tipped-over on the Gulf Road though I’m not sure when and how the accident happened, I hope the police man is safe. I saw several police accidents in the past few months, probably speed chasing?
Thanks [Sherifa]

It’s no accident. The road was too hot for the police car to handle. Never underestimate our hot weather.
But on a serious note, I hope the driver is alright.
You mean tyre exploded?
Naaa man. The tyre just couldn’t handle the heat and decided to land the car on its back. XD
Wohahaha
my bad!
Police pursuit is illegal in the UAE. A police patrol cannot engage in high speed pursuit of a another car.
It makes sense because what gives a police the right to put other people’s lives at risk?
If police are allowed to engage in high speed pursuit, then the police drivers have to have at least 2 years intense training in highway public pursuit. That will never happen because it’s too expensive.
So it’s banned in the UAE.
Smart and great for public safety, and there was a similar decision made by Ministry of Interior in Kuwait last year but I don’t know if they implemented it, see here:

Its not chasing. It is chasing girls. Seriously.
