A friend of mine who works in Ministry of Electricity and Water sent me a photo for solar panels installed at the roof of government building, and said the government plan to use solar power for all other government buildings instead of traditional electric power, this will help save 10% from power consumption.
I’m so happy they finally took the first step after many years, we have hot sunny days and plenty of sun light and we are suffering from power shortage. I have also noticed that some solar panels were installed for the light posts.
Thanks [Yousif]

this is not Kuwait, because if you see the back side there is coconut tree, coconut tree i never seen in Kuwait
I contacted my friend and you are right there was some sort of misunderstanding, he said the panels look the same as the picture, and he said also in some streets the government have used solar panels for light posts.
He also said the government plan to implement the usage of solar power for government buildings within one year time, which is needed for the fabrication and installation of solar panels.
Thanks so much for your remark bro.

The complex manufacturing the solar panels (including materials, transportation etc.) consumes more energy than the panels produce in their lifetime. There is actually no rational reason for using them.
Full of salient ponits. Don\’t stop believing or writing!

The Q8 government already started with solar projects in Kuwait, First tender was awarded last Feb to install Solar Panel on the top of Minstry of Electricity and Public Work in South Surra.
When you are serious about your move to solar energy and begin using panels that sink more than 6 watts, invest in a solar controller. These small controls help maximize the efficiency of the charge cycle and prevent any wasted overcharging from occurring. When there is a lot of energy at stake, these are a must have for your solar-home..

This gives the “carbon payback period” of solar panels. Important question raised earlier about the reasons for using PV.
