Remember Ahmadi Drive-In cinema? A friend shared this photos with me for Ahmadi Drive-In cinema ruined and forgotten, this scene just tear my heart into shreds. If I remember correctly the Drive-In cinema was first opened in 1974 and was the first of its kind in the Arab World with a capacity of 304 cars and 310 seats on the roof of the building, cars used to park in front of a big screen in the open with A/C hoses provided (see above) for the cooling and there were speakers placed nearby the car windows.
I recall the last time I visited the Drive-In Cinema was back in early 90′s but later it was shutdown and I’m not sure why? I wish Cinescape renovate the cinema, after all watching a blockbuster movie in the open in this amazing weather is absolutely fun.

I agree
It would be so amazing to have one here in Kuwait as it would be a perfect outdoor activity to experience in this amazing weather. We spend so much time indoors throughout most of the year as it is, so a drive-in would be ideal
Do it Cinescape! Plus, we’ve gotten so many inquiries from various readers asking about it, so why not bring it back?
Hope Cinescape see this and consider renovating the cinema

Just like what thinktank said below
A/C units
@rehab those are A/C hoses for cool air
From what I know, Tamdeen Company (360 Mall, Al-Kout, Al-Manshar, the Eight, & Bait Al-Arab) owns the plot of AHmadi Drive-in Cinema, which is locally known as Subahiya Cinema. In fact, they were supposed to build Mall of Kuwait there, but the project is on hold.
