I was patiently waiting for The Hobbit movie which I heard is the biggest production of Hollywood for year 2012, it’s supposed to be the new installment of The Lord Of The Rings movie but basically it’s based on a different fantasy novel published in 1937 named “The Hobbit, or There and Back Again”.
The story revolves about a curious Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, who journeys to the lonely mountain with a group of dwarves to reclaim a treasure stolen from them by the dragon Smaug. I saw there were major changes in the cast but from the same director Peter Jackson. It will be exclusively released in Kuwait tomorrow at Grand Hamra cinema which is one day before the U.S release date, interesting. I’ll make my booking today and hopefully it turns out worthy.

Any idea if it will be shown in the new film format 3D at 48 frames per second? This is the first major movie to be introduced with this 48fps technology and I’d hate not being able to experience it the way Peter Jackson intended.
I’m already quite annoyed we wont see it in IMAX thanks to Grand’s exclusivity..
Not sure bro but will try to ask the person from Grand Hamra cinema for you, yes I agree it would have been gr8 to watch it in IMAX
I cannot find any listings for the hobbit. Does anyone have a website link?
Check Hamra Cinema site not Cinescape
Update on my post above: Grand does indeed show the film in 48fps. When you book for the film, look for The Hobbit (HFR 3D). The high frame rate benefited the fast actions scenes so much, and it was much clearer than the usual blurry 3d films.
I saw the movie last night, awesome!
