I came to know that they have a created the first ever documentary movie on Kuwait’s lethal road accident rate being the highest in the world, excellent idea. The documentary movie Hayatak Teswa (translated as Your Life Worth) was ctreated by a private production house, Ebla Documentary.

I’m so excited about the idea, the film is backed by the Ministry of Interior and is a thorough investigation into the reasons behind Kuwait leading the global statistic of deaths due to road accidents; it documents the infrastructural, institutional, psychological, cultural and economical factors which contribute to the problem. The film also addresses solutions that aim to bring that statistic down, showcasing a number of well known Kuwaiti figures as well as testimonials by average citizens who have suffered life-changing injuries from accidents or the loss of loved ones. I always say fixing more speed cameras will not necessarily solve the problem, effective awareness is what we need.

The film will be shown across Kuwait cinemas and will have a private premier on December 12, 2012 in 360 Mall, yes I’m certainly going!

Excess speed isn’t the only cause for accidents.
Most happen because people don’t use turning indicators, and don’t use their mirrors.

  4. Everyone that lives in Kuwait knows how dangerous it is on the road. So put your children in car seats and seat belts for goodness sakes! I just want to become a traffic policewoman here so I can arrest the entire lot of bad parents. It’s 2012 where everyone knows better. SHAME!!!

Sorry for venting but I work in safety and my heartbreaks every time I see a poor child not being properly fastened into their car seat.

I could not understand the arabic, but the emotions by the girl, police and the other guys were enough to convey the message.
So much content in just 3 min video is really good.

Problem is with the ministry of interior itself. The other day the gaurd at my familys house told me he wanted to get a license but needed my signature. I told him ok but he needed to get lessons first because he never drive before. 3 days later he comes with a license. I ask him how he got it so fast and how he passed the driving exam. He said he payed the guy who works at the license place 80kd and he made him a wa96a to obtain a license on the same day with no exam. Wtf
