A friend of mine who works in a local operator has told me that his company has gaven him the 4G adapter to test it at his house, meanwhile I read on Alanba paper that Ministry of Communication has finally gave the green signal for the three local operators to launch 4G LTE technology that allows up to 100 Mbps data transfer compared to only 42 Mbps for the DC-HSDPA. I’m now wondering when and how much the cost will be for 4G LTE, at least we can utilize the full capacity of the smart phones that support 4G.
I have tested the speed of 4G LTE from Zain before, see video below.

Well i really appreciate Ministry of Communication for reducing the internet rates and now allowing three operators to launch 4G LTE technology. Gr8 News and thank you to bring this news to us…

+1 to that
I heard some iphone 5 models will not support LTE in kuwait? Any news?
Only iPhone 5′s purchased from AT&T will not work as they use 2600MHz & 700MHz, Kuwait will be using the 1800MHz frequency for its LTE networks.
However be wary when purchasing in Kuwait currently, US Verizon model will only work at 3G speeds outside the US and does not offer simultaneous voice and data on cellular data.
The US Sprint model will work fine in Kuwait but it does not support simultaneous voice and data like the Verizon model, however there is an issue with the Sprint model with a GSM sim inserted when it cannot send SMS messages and will not send iMessage and FaceTime on cellular.
The best one to get is the European/Australian A1429 GSM as it fully supports Kuwait’s future 1800MHz LTE network without issue.

Best of luck!
Apologies, Verizon iPhone 5′s will support Kuwait’s 1800MHz LTE network but not simultaneous voice and data.
Thanks for your informative comments Nathan.
We have 4G LTE already in Saudi Arabia from a really long time,& I have a 4G Router it’s really fast!
The 4G from Zain will be up to 100Mbps and 3G was up to 21.6Mbps
BTW, I overheard that Zain will be the first operator to launch the 4G LTE.
It’s 100 Mega bit per second not Byte !
Anyway this speed would be depending on what server
or website your’e dealing with so no fixed number is there ..
The best way to test via speedtest is to check both Kuwait
and NY servers …
I wish all companies can and will provide this LTE service properly at the maximum level and coverage as they can ..
And lets hope the price would be reasonable ..
Thanks a lot
Thanks for correction bro
inshallah when the 4F is first launched officially I’ll be testing it and post about it. The pricing is what concerns me right now hmm
No prob bro
Service quality and price are people’s concern right now !
Waiting for your updats …

Cant wait for Watiniya to offer it.
Also, I love how he is running Windows 7 on his Macbook Pro. I’m doing the same thing.
That’s a macbook? I highly doubt it.
The computer in the picture on the top is a 15″ Macbook Pro. You can see the CMD key and the proprietary Apple charging port.
What’s the point of owning a Mac if the OS is Windows?!
Windows runs most stable on Apple machines compared to others like Acer, Asus, and HP. Especially the MacBook Pro line.
