I was in Shuweikh today and the traffic light was so congested to the point that even when the light is green you still can’t move because the opposite side with red traffic light is still blocking the intersection then your light turn red again, also the buses won’t stop! I’m noticing this irritating problem with several road intersections in Kuwait. I think they should re-set the timing for traffic lights to help solve this problem.

In each and every signal there’s a side which is more crowded that the other one so they should reset the green light timing to give more time for the heavily crowded side and less time to the othersides…

It’s a trololo traffic light. They can only be found in Shawaikh, Hawally, Kuwait City and Farwaniya. There are times when the weather reaches beyond 50C you just wished that your car was equipped with missiles and rocket launchers just like in Twisted Metal.

what they should do is fine everyone blocking the intersection. drivers should stop before the intersection even if it is green until they have a chance to cross, that way when its crowded the intersection wouldnt be blocked which then allows the other side to pass!!

Agree, the law is applied in most countries, except kuwait. MOI needs a big shake up
I completely agree with valencia.. MOI in Kuwait should adopt what Dubai has for a long time now.. Fine everyone who block the intersection.. And like many other laws they shouldn’t just pass it and then ignore it
