On the way from Jedda to Makkah I noticed the tall massive clock tower from kilo meters away standing-out among the other buildings. The clock tower is the tallest and biggest in the world, and luckily the works were completed recently so I had a chance to see it working.
I also saw them fixing the tallest Minaret (manara) at the top of the clock which they will use to call for prayer (Athan) and it can be heard even from 7 km’s away, and there will be 16 vertical lights to be used on Islamic occasions.
In the evening, the clock is green illuminated and looks state-of-the-art. Masha’allah ! I think the works were done by the Bin Laden Group.
This tower and clock is a crime!!!! Kaaba should be the only landmark and everything bows down to it and serve it, not tower over it like this monstrous concrete ugliness

There is something which can’t be compared with anything, it is really childish to compare height of Kaaba with any other structure. Making advancement in the field of science and technology is not a crime and my friends, these could never ever overshadow our believes. Be a firm beliver and be a part of progress.
