I saw phones from China, Chinese cars, Chinese food but Chinese degree in medicine, well that’s new! A blog visitor who has just finished high school sent me a photo for an advertisement seen in Kuwait streets claiming that any one can now study medicine in China and become a physician or dentist for only KD650 per semester and finish in 5 years max.
To make things even more skeptic, they’re claiming high school GPA doesn’t matter and even TOEFL isn’t required, I smell a rotten fish.

Well, I am confident that it will be better than Kuwait’s medical schools where you can be an MD in less than 8 years!! Be a lawyer in 4 years!! Wow what kind of short cuts! Generally, to be doctor requires 4 years Pre-med baccalaureate then another 4 years Medicine proper, then internship, after which you must take 1 year to review and pass for the medical board and 1 year medical residency in a hospital. I was in a Capital Governorate clinic and noticed that on weekends, some “Specialists” were reviewing their books in front of the patient. No wonder they prescribe Panadrex or Zyrtec all the time. When you start asking question using general medical terms, they ask if you are medical professional. So what’s the difference with these Chinese fraudsters?
