Today I was at Hamra Luxury Center and I saw staff mumbling nearby Melenzane restaurant so I went ahead and asked them if they are opening Melenzane and they said “Yes we will be soft opening today”, guess that makes me kinda lucky. I tried Melenzane back in 2011 at their first branch in Beda’a and if there’s one thing that I like about it other than the Italian food then it’s surely their strange interior designs and decorations, see the pictures that I took and you will get my point, even the name itself is written upside down.
Melenzane is a Kuwaiti-based concept restaurant that was created by two Kuwaitis and is specialized in Italian cuisine with a menu inspired by a true Sicilian Chef “Nino Trapini,” yet cooked by trained Melenzane Chefs. They said they now have new dishes added to their menu, I’m looking forward to try it sometime soon so stay alert.
