I had a sneak peek tour at new Oxygen Gym in Jabriya which is located next to Champions health club on 4th ring road, it will open in a few days and subscription will cost KD50/Month and I gotta say it worth the money after what I saw. Inside I met with the owner Mr. Bader Bodai and had chance to ask him questions about the gym and facilities.
I find Oxygen gym as one of the most successful (and busiest) Men gyms in Kuwait, what I like about it is that it offers decent facilities for a reasonable price, also the trainers are always there to help. The new Jabriya branch has a totally new concept and has much better design and facilities than the older branches.
As I stepped inside the interior design caught my attention, mind the low quality pictures since my DSLR camera wasn’t with me. The interior design looked unique with dimmed lighting and dark theme, the design felt it had “Masculine” feeling. The workout area is one of the biggest that I’ve seen, also the cardio area had tons of treadmills and bikes. The gym was built on three levels with two elevators, ground floor had the reception, cafeteria, supplements shop, locker room, swimming pool; 2nd floor had the cardio area, leg machines, spinning area, aerobics area, and 3rd floor has the main workout area.
The facilities are as follow:
Workout area: 1,800 sq.meter and there were tons of machines.
Spinning area: 180 sq.meter with many spinning machines.
Aerobics area: 240 sq. meter
Swimming Pool: 21 x 10 meters
Supplements Shop
Lockers room
Air Massage room
Air Shower
Cafeteria
Number of treadmills: 45
Number of bikes: 20
Number of stair machines: 8
Cross-trainers: 20
Sauna
Hot & Cold Jacuzzi
Outdoor Cafe & Tan area
“It took us long time and massive efforts to make this gym, we had to choose every machine, all equipment were carefully selected and we tried to introduce many new ideas and concepts that weren’t there before” said Bader Bodai. I was impressed with the design and large training areas, my only concern is about accessibility to Jabriya.

Oxygen for body building but champion for fitness and old mans wal7ean intaras gayat wejnous..
Nice why men gyms always look better and much cheaper than girls gyms
I hope the prices drop a bit as new competition comes in (Fitness First) etc..
Any one using Platinum Gym? Any idea what their rates are?
شهر خمسين دينار وايد عليه

FAIL
Why if I may ask?
I kinda see the idea of their design concept for the NEW Oxygen but to me I hardly see the “Masculinity” part. It looks like a nightclub minus the bar and rave music. I’m just curious how much their new rates are going to be.
In the design, they used reinforce steel bars for the doors, the seat, the tables were are custom made and looked rough (as in feeling). They said the regular monthly rate is KD50, and there will be discount for 3, 6 & yearly subscriptions.
When exactly do they open?
I guess it’s already open by now, but I’ll double check.
Its not open yet, the one year subscription is 440
It’ll be open on november 15th
Thanks for the info.
Is it open now ?
and Mr Tazmania, you totally ignored my question on another post of yours
since you know so much about the gyms in Kuwait, which do you advise me to join?
I’m mainly interested in aerobic classes – swimming pool – cardio. not so keen on weight lifting.
Any suggestions for one with decent prices ?
Ps. I reside in mishrif
Dear Muhammad, I’m sorry that I missed to reply your inquiries. I remember the Oxygen gym owner told me they are opening on 15th November so I think yes they are open by now. The rate is 50 kd/month. Now which gym to join depends on your budget, are you looking for high end luxury gym or just regular one? mix or not? do you want weight lifting or just swimming/aerobics?
Ohh finally
)
well, I’m not so keen on weight lifting like I said, not that i won’t go for them, but only for a regular fitness, not body building stuff
swimming and aerobics are exactly what I’m looking for. as I need to lose weight and get fit.
Decent budget, so obviously I wouldn’t mind luxury, but a luxury I’d afford, not the 100+kds luxury for sure.
So, your recommendation ?
Well, it open since one week, it is the best gym I have ever seen in Kuwait I am now a member for one year… I advice all guys out their to join the new oxygen in Jabriya… it is new everything is new clean plenty of machines you do not have to waot for your turn, the aquatic section is so relaxing, the cardio is unbelievable, and the classes of Aerobics class run all the time, also they have a bicycle training hall… wow I am in love with this gym… I have been member in Platinum, Champions, crown plaza and many others… this is the best it is 440 per year and it is worth it, very friendly coaches about 12 of them are available….
well o2 jabriya has a high end machines,In addition there are a special sector for every muscle group with all positions and most of platinum kaifan members switched for o2 jabriya because there was a people talking about kaifan has low quality Chinese machines for example i have one of my family members when he play for his legs he feel pain in his knees ,but when he switched for o2 jabriyah he was satisfied and didn’t have any problems with his knees ( he doesn’t lift high weights) so o2 jabriya is a very good gym and it also will be ranked internationally
