Our blog friend Abdulaziz who happens to live in Bayan particularly block 3 sent us photos for trees cut down near Bayan Palace, he says the large pleasant green landscape has now turned into a bleak unsightly semi-desert. I’ve witnessed similar thing several times at several locations in Kuwait and I don’t yet have a clue why they do that? I thought we wanted a green Kuwait, so much for all those support-greenery campaigns, they could at least have tried to transfer the trees to other locations.
Thanks [Abdulaziz]

hi guy,
Before jumping to conclusions, these trees where cut down to make room for a new building to support the administration staff for the bayan palace, as well as a new flower garden that’s going to surround the area.
Im no expert but, canacarpuss trees (seen in the picture above) are fast growing and are near impossible to transfer once they reach a certain hight. So no need to worry, the place will look beautiful again after a year or so.
Thanks for the explanation, photos were sent to us and I was sad to see how trees were cut but if like you said the place will look better afterwords and that there was no possible way to transfer the trees to somewhere else then I guess there;s no other way..
انا سمعت انه قام يسوون ممشى حق منطقة بيان خصوصاً انه قبل جم يوم وافقلهم المجلس البلدي
I think its because they were planted on government ground without permission. Remember getting rid of the building built on gov land.
or bohanwa could be right.
