I spotted snooze cubes in Dubai Airport where you can pay and get a little nap in a small room with a bed, small touch screen TV, there is also slow music, and internet access, the pod is also connected to the airport’s flight information system to ensure that while you are relaxing, you won’t miss your flights.
This is cool for flight connections, I’d like to see the same in Kuwait airport.

I arrived at Jumeirah Emirates Tower in Dubai, I was trying to book for The Address hotel but the rate was too high (about KD178) because of the holidays, so changed my plans and guess what? I’m so excited with my experience in Jumeirah Emirates Tower so far. It’s a 5 star hotel, I managed to get the room for about KD85 (single room no breakfast) per night, it’s located on Sheikh Zayed Road and 5 minutes drive from Dubai Mall.
The high rise hotel has 56 floors and had a private parking lot near the entrance, inside everything looked luxurious; the lobby, the rooms, the restaurants. The room was spacious, not spacious and luxurious as say Armani Hotel but for KD85 it’s perfect, all facilities were there; comfy beds, free WiFi connection, coffee maker, a safe, automatic lighting and curtains, LED TV. Also the bathroom and shower were nice.

Though what I really liked is the free shuttle service that takes you to Dubai Mall and provides free access to Wild Wadi Water Park and private beaches of Jumeirah Beach Hotel, cool. The hotel also had a nice swimming pool. So do I recommend Jumeirah Emirates Towers? Read my review again and you will get the answer.

PK Jaguars has shared with us an entertaining footage for them performing cool free running in London, speaking of London the video made me realize how much I miss it. Question, how long does it take these days for the U.K visa to be issued? Is one week enough? Because I’m thinking to visit London during Eid holidays.

I had an entertaining visit yesterday afternoon to the awaited Jumeirah Beach Hotel & SPA, it’s better known as Messilah-Beach Hotel which is located by Fahaheel express way next to the Messilah beach resort. I arrived at the main entrance at 4:00 pm where I met with people from their sales department that took me on a tour.
I have to say the extrerior look of the hotel did not give me the impression that it’s very luxurious on the inside, the architectural design was made by reowned Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM); same designers for Burj Khalifa and Al Hamra Tower.
I noticed the hotel was designed to look like a U-shape, they said this allows maximum number of rooms with sea view, since Kuwait municipality doesn’t allow tall buildings by the sea.
Inside there was a large reception with a nice lounge, the finishing was high quality with astonishing interior designs. The hotel covers a total area of 55,000 Sq. meter including a private beach, 307 rooms, 80 suites, 6 restaurants, two ballrooms, SPA, GYM, and more. On the back side there was 80 meter long private beach with 12 villas and children’s play area. Unfortunately I couldn’t see their rooms because it was getting late, but they gave me pictures for the rooms and other facilities.
I asked them about the opening date, they said probably by end of 2012. I find Jumeirah Messilah Beach a great addition to the 5-stars hotels in Kuwait, I’ll make sure to visit it when it opens, as for now enjoy the photos that I have struggled to take.

On the last day of my visit to Qatar I had a quick tour at Qatar Islamic Museum, its one of its kind in the Gulf and has a very large collection of Islamic art, plus a study and a library, intriguing.
It was opened back in 2008 and lies on the edge of Doha harbour, inside it was big and uniquely designed on three levels. The museum houses a nice collection of Islamic civilization works from the past centuries including manuscripts, jewelry, textiles, ceramics carpets, swords, books and much more.
It is one of the world’s most complete collections of Islamic artifacts, with items originating in Spain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, India, and Central Asia
Those who are into history of Islamic civilization will truly enjoy visiting Qatar Islamic Museum. To give you a feeling how my visit was, I tried to take numerous photos.
