So I went ahead to see and meet Man. United legend Peter Schmeichel at the event organized by Alghanim Automotive today. Everything was fine and Schmeichel had a tour around the Classic Cars Museum, never knew he loves vintage cars this much. We were given chance to meet and greet him and get his autograph along with a personal photo, but something went wrong when a fan sporting FC Barcelona jersey elusively sat next to him, the security tried to bust him because it’s only allowed to wear Man. United jersey during the event yet they failed, looked kinda funny.
I was informed that Kuwait Motor Sport Club will organize the Motorcross Championship, there will be juniors and experts riders participating.
Motocross is certainly a physically demanding sport held in all-weather conditions but it’s so enjoyably to watch, I find this event great for motocross lovers and photographers as well.
Where: Jaber Al-Sabah International Motocross Track
I was informed by Gaayla Radio Show that they will be interviewing Kuwait’s legendary football team of the year 1982. As you all know 1982 was the year of achievements for the Kuwaiti football and the year we entered the World Cup for the first time in Spain, we were in the same group of France, England, and Slovakia.
Those were really the golden years that we wish we could live again. The interview will be on-air from 1:00 pm till 3:00 pm (Wednesday December 5th) on FM 103.7 Kuwait Radio.
Do you love Pro Karting? Then you should look forward to this; GulfRun will organize a challenging endurance racing event at Kuwait International Fair Ground where participants will be racing for 24 hour continuously, sighs.
I recall last year’s event was pretty cool, participants said it was exhausting but fun and such an unforgettable experience. I was planning to go to the karting arena on 6th ring road opposite to 360 Mall sometime this week, I’ll also make sure to attend this year’s event and make proper coverage.
Where: Mishref Fairgrounds/Kuwait International Fair
I always enjoy watching American Football games on TV and always wondered if we could have our own Kuwaiti National American Football Team, I also get emails from readers asking me if there’s official Rugby clubs and tournaments in Kuwait but I wasn’t sure. Fortunately, I came to know that they have formed an official Rugby and American Football association in Kuwait and recently have gained recognition from the International Rugby Academy, cool.
They are currently working on forming a team and are looking for good players, they train 4 times a week (Sunday through Wednesday), they say those who wish to join their training program can directly pay them a visit;
Where: Qadisiya Sports Center, Qadisiya area, block 2.
When: Sunday through Wednesday, 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm
They will open the first Ferrari store in Kuwait at the SoKu district in the Avenues Mall Phase III. The store will be selling genuine Ferrari goods such as watches, clothes and jackets, caps, gifts, shoes, even headsets, head phones and dock stations. I guess fans obsessed with Ferrari supercars will love it, though I hope the prices won’t be sky high otherwise I’m totally fine with fake Ferrari goods from China.
I saw that Landmark Group pitched a tent nearby Sultan Center seaside in preparation for walkathon to help spread awareness about diabetes and its causes amongst the Kuwaiti community. They said they will offer participants free tests for diabetes, blood pressure, and cholesterol. The walkathon will begin from the Yachts Club to the Green Island, I’m considering to join them.
I was looking for comfortable training suit at adidas store and saw they just released new luxury sportswear line in collaboration with Porsche Design. Their products looked cool especially the sneakers but sadly prices were on the high side for some of the stuff. Porsche Design line is now available at all adidas stores across Kuwait.
