A friend of mind told me about a newly opened burger restaurant in Salmiyah called Burger Box so I decided to try it for lunch since its my cheat day.

Its a small cute franchise restaurant offering a variety of normal and mini burgers in addition to hot dogs, and some appetizers, inside its nicely and simply designed.

They’re mainly targeting the home delivery service, but you can dine-in. I picked a mix of mini burgers and nachos with beef and cheese and jalapeno.

The nachos and beef tasted good, though what i liked is their mini burgers, i can say they were “yummy”, especially their signature burger called Burger Box.

The packaging looked cute and neat, they also had boxes called Yam3a Box and Dewanya Box that has six burgers with three french fries and Pepsi.

 Generally, I liked Burger Box and I will try their home delivery service, my check was 4.9 K.D.

I was thinking what to have for dinner and I thought I might give the new Vinny’s restaurant at 52Degrees in Al Tilal complex a try.

Vinny’s is ran by a young 24 year old Kuwaiti chef, Bader Al Kulaib, who started cooking as a hobby and was encouraged to open a restaurant. I asked whether the name “Vinny’s”  had any reference, but was told that its just a name.

Inside, it was cozy and simply designed. The menu was small and most of the dishes were Italian, I picked the Shroom Popper (Mushroom with sauce) and Sange’s Pot Pie (Baked white cream mix of chicken, spinach, and mushroom)  for starters, both were tasty.

As for main dish, I had the Fussili Bianca pasta; tasty but needed slightly more salt, and Italian Burger; I was disappointed with the burger, the beef didn’t taste great but the chef said they will change it soon.

I know there are many fancy pizza restaurants in Kuwait, but today after work I wanted to grab a quick take away pizza from Pizza Hut, they said they have new Cheesy Bites Remix, so I wanted to try it.

Its a normal pizza with stuffed with cheese fingers all around, inside its a normal pizza, the taste was good but I wished it was slightly more crispy and less oily. The medium size prize is 2.950 K.D.

I was at the Village in Abu Al Hassany area couple days ago and saw that The Upper Crust Pizzeria is opening soon. I was able to get you some sneak peek photos, and from what I have seen it looks worthy.

I recall Upper Crust Pizzeria back in the U.S., they are based in Boston and were awarded as  “Best Gourmet Pizza” and “Boston’s Best Pizza”.

In Kuwait, they will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner and will have delivery service, they are currently doing food tasting and will open very soon.

We were craving for Italian food for sometime now and luckily we got invited to MELENZANE just in time !

MELEZANE is a Kuwaiti-based concept restaurant for Italian cuisine with a menu inspired by a true Sicilian Chef “Nino Trapini,” yet cooked by trained Melenzane Chefs.

I saw it at Al Bida’a several times before but its my first time to try it, there was fancy outdoor sitting with nice background music.

Inside, I was impressed with the exquisite decorations, lighting, and general atmosphere. We picked the menu and saw variety of Italian dishes, but I sought the help of the chef.

For starters we had MELENZANE Caserole; a salad with stuffed beef, Dolce Funghi; tasty mushroom, Bruscetta Ragu, and Karchiofi Ragu, “Whew” that was hard to spell but each tasted sinfully delicious.

For the main dish we picked the Involtini Secco; Stuffed chicken, Baked Penne Bolognese; Little spicy baked pasta, and Vitello Rosmarino; A delicious steak with pasta.

 Finally, we had the popular Red Velvet for the dessert, and I’m so confident when I say it was the best I tasted so far.

 I liked how each of the dishes tasted differently, some were sweet or little spicy, others were little sour but generally tasty.

The waiters were friendly and responsive and the service was great.

Do you think we have enough burger outlets in Kuwait? Personally I can take more, burgers remain to be my favorite dish. Smash Burger is the latest addition to the burger outlets in Kuwait that will open very soon at the Village in Abu Al Hassani area.

 I remember I used to enjoy it back in the U.S, and my favorite was their mushroom burger. I’ll definitely smash it when its opened !

I was at Al Bida’a the other night and went over to have dinner at the Syrian restaurant Sarai and saw that it was shutdown. There was a note saying that they closed for re-branding.

I observed several restaurants going out of business nowadays, I think the reason is the competitive market because we have many restaurants in Kuwait. Sadly, it was a fine restaurant.

We were invited for the grand opening of the 4th branch of TacoBell restaurant at Abu Hulaifa. Now people around Abu Hulaifa area can also enjoy TacoBell spicy dishes without having to drive long way.

They had animated digital menu fixed, which I think the first in Kuwait, this helps them to show the offers quickly, plus saving on the paper and waste. Excellent idea !

They also had car service on the back side.
