I went to AlHamra Luxury Center on Eid and I gotta say that I never saw it this much crowded before, maybe because of Grand Hamra Cinema was opened? Good news is that the stores keep opening one after the other, I’d say 70% of the mall is now open. I spotted new restaurants, cafe’s, shops have opened and others opening soon, so let’s see what we got;
Bice Ristorante: It’s about to open and if I’m not mistaken it’s an Italian concept restaurant with over 30 branches worldwide, and now they are expanding into the Middle East with branches opening in Kuwait, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi. It’s located on level 3 ad they said the opening is on the 15th of November.
Cuts Steak Restaurant: It’s a new restaurant that will serve a variety of steaks opening soon on level 3 of the mall.
Al Hamra Thermae: I posted about this one before, they say it will be the most luxurious SPA/Gym in Kuwait and I wonder how much subscription will cost, opening is on December. Read more [link]
IL Caffe Di Roma: Small Italian cafe serving various hot and cold drinks located right beside Elevation Burger.
Samsung Store: Looks like Samsung is opening electronics store that will probably sell Samsung phones and electronics though I’m not sure if belongs to the same Samsung dealer in Kuwait City.

I woke up early in the morning (I’m becoming morning person) and for some reason I was craving bagels for breakfast, I remember I enjoyed bagels when ever I visit the U.S or U.K, a friend suggested we try the recently opened Bagels Factory in Sharq, it’s a Kuwaiti concept ran by two Kuwaitis. We arrived and to my surprise it was small, like really so tiny and no seating area indoor or outdoor so we were only left with To Go option. Their menu had a good variety of bagels, they say they serve them fresh and kettle boiled.
Their bagels come plain, cinnamon & raisin, onion, sundried tomato, sesame, and brown. I picked the Everything Omelet Bagel (egg, onion, tomato, mushroom, green pepper, bacon) and Club Bagel (egg, shredded chicken, bacon, mayo, tomato, lettuce), I favored the Everything Bagel, tasted fresh. In addition to bagels they serve salads, desserts, and juices.
As for sweet I picked the Nutella Rahash Bagel and taste was ok (not the best though), prices were in KD1-2 range and my check was KD3.850. All in all, the place is good for break fast if you happen to crave bagels.

I spotted Planet Hollywood restaurant opening another branch at The Dome Mall in Mahboula, I recall I tried the one in Olympia Mall in Salmiya and I kind of liked it when they first opened but many customers were disappointed with the food and service lately, hope their management work on this matter if they ever want to keep business running.
Also Goal will open their store at the same mall, I’m not sure what they are selling exactly but I think they are specialized in football. The Dome Mall is located in the coastal street nearby Kuwait Magic mall in Mahboula. I’m observing that Mahboula is becoming an attractive area for living and shopping.

I was getting some stuff from Qadisiya co-op society and saw they are opening Bazza Cafe at first floor, it’s a traditionally designed Kuwaiti concept cafe that serves traditional food and drinks, I liked their Murabyan. Read my previous experience [link]

Hello Kitty Restaurant & Cafe has finally opened in Bida’a, my secret source called me in the morning and told me they are opening today at 4:30 PM so I went to check it out and taste some of their dishes. Outside there was a seating area that I suppose would be nice in evening since weather is amazing nowadays, and inside it was medium sized and built on two levels. I liked the Hello Kitty themed interior design though I expected more thrilling decorations.
They told me I was their first ever customer, the staff were also dressed with Hello Kitty themed custom. I asked for the menu but sadly they said they opened a few minutes ago and it’s not yet available, but they said that they serve cakes, ice cream, pasta, pizza, steak, hot & cold drinks among other dishes. The food presentation was excellent, the pinkish colored Hello Kitty cakes looked cute.
I asked the chef if they can serve me with a few dishes to taste, sadly they said they can only give me little bites from their cakes because they are still preparing the kitchen, the little samples tasted good, I personally favored the Tiramisu.
Most of the their cakes were priced KD 0.500 fils to KD1.700 ,I know many were waiting for Hello Kitty restaurant-to open (since it’s the first one in the region) and wanted a full review but I promise to check their food sometime soon, the restaurant will be softly opened today so you can go and tell us what you think.
