On my way back home on Fahaheel Express Way (Road 30) today I saw they finally opened the tunnel connecting Manqaf, Mahboula, and Sabahiya. It took really long for road works to complete, but I’m not sure what was the purpose of the tunnel, may be for over passing bridge?
I posted about this before but I found a new published statistic for world hottest cities, the temperatures were recorded during mid of July 2012 and guess who came as number one? Kuwait City with 51 degrees Celsius recorded temperature! In second place came Baghdad followed by Riyadh. The statistic did not included abandoned places or remote areas such as deserts.
Kuwait indeed is a very hot place in the summer, a 5-minutes walk in the noon can make you sweat like crazy.

One of my friends who works at Ministry of Information told me that Kuwait TV has introduced new logos for the satellite channels with the beginning of Ramadan. The new logos are simply designed with vibrant colors but haven’t changed a lot.
KTV was also supposed to have HD broadcast with beginning of 2012 but I’m not sure if they finished with that since I rarely watch TV anyway.
I saw a video on YouTube for KPTC bus fire on King Fahad highway that happened yesterday, I hope the bus was empty but how did the fire start in first place? I’m seeing many buses with open hoods nowadays, could it be the extreme heat?

I see that Kuwait Municipality and Kuwait Traffic Police have started towing the cars for sale that are parked in Kuwait streets, this should have been done long ago because these cars create even more traffic jams and have turned Kuwait streets into a big Haraj, let alone uncivilized look for Kuwait City.
