أين تريد الذهاب اليوم؟ كانت هذه عبارة شهيرة لشركة مايكروسوف الامريكية, شخصيا سأذهب بعد قليل لمشاهدة الجزء الجديد لفلم الرعب Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D الذي على ما اعتقد انكم قد شاهدتم احد اجزائه  السابقه على الاقل, اذكر انه كان من الافلام المرعبة لديي في صغري رغم ان القصة بسيطه او بالاحرى (سخيفة)  لدى الكثيرين الى انها لقت انتشارا واسعة. حسنا يعود الفلم لشاشات السينما بجزء جديد ثلاثي الابعاد وتدور احداثه حول امرأة شابة تسافر الى ولاية تكسس الامريكية لتجمع الورث الذي ترك لها ولكنها لم تدرك ما سيكون في انتظارها. الفلم من انتاج شركة Lions Gate التى انتجت فلم كذلك سلسلة افلام Jigsaw. شخصيا اتمنا ان لا يكون الفلم قد تعرض للتقطيع فلا نفهم ما هي القصة او نستمتع بالاحداث.ا

يبدوا ان النجم جاكي شان مازال يحب طرح افلام الاكشن والحركة رغم تصريحه سابقا بأن يود اعتزال هذا النوع من الافلام لأنه قد كبر بالسن, هذه المره يعود الينا بفلم Chinese Zodiac الذي قرأت ان قصته تدور حول رجل يبحث حول العالم عن مجموعة من الأعمال الفنية عبارة عن 12 رئساّ برونزي من الحيوانات البروج الصينية. الفلم لم يحصل على تقييم عالي لدى موقع الافلام الشهير IMDB ولكن لعشاق افلام جاكي شان قد يعجبهم.ا

The Kuwaiti director Mahmoud Hayat has sent me a link for his new short movie named The Proliferation of Sin which runs for 7:48 minutes. I liked the intro a lot, the sound track and production are impressive too. I’m trying to completely decipher the plot, Mr. Hayat says its modern day re-telling of the Cain and Abel story.

مضى وقت طويل لم اذهب به بالسينما لمشاهدة اي افلام جديدة, سوى فلم واحد هو The Hobbit, حسنا لن اطيل عليكم الحديث فلدينا لهذا الاسبوع مجموعة جيدة من الافلام اولها فلم الحركة والجريمة Jack Reacher للنجم توم كروز الذي على ما يبدوا انه عاد وبقوة بعد نجاح فلمه الاخير Ghost Protocol, مدة الفلم حوالي 129 دقيقة تدور فيها الاحداث حول محقق جرائم القتل يتعمق بالبحث في قضية تتعلق بقناص عسكري قتل خمسة ضحايا عشوائياّ.ا

الفلم الثاني لهذا الاسبوع هو Life of Pi وهو من نوع المغامرات والدراما وقد حصل على تقييم عالي في مواقع الافلام العالمية وحسبما فهمت ان القصة عن شاب ينجو من كارثة في عرض البحر في رحلة مليئة بالمغامرة والاكتشاف. اثناء هذه الرحلة يكون صداقة مع آخر الناجيين. لا اعلم لما يذكرني ملصق الفلم بمغارمات السندباد التى كنت احبها قصصها كثيرا وشخصيا سأحرص على مشاهدته لاني من محبي المغامرات.ا

Remember Ahmadi Drive-In cinema? A friend shared this photos with me for Ahmadi Drive-In cinema ruined and forgotten, this scene just tear my heart into shreds. If I remember correctly the Drive-In cinema was first opened in 1974 and was the first of its kind in the Arab World with a capacity of 304 cars and 310 seats on the roof of the building, cars used to park in front of a big screen in the open with A/C hoses provided (see above) for the cooling and there were speakers placed  nearby the car windows.

I recall the last time I visited the Drive-In Cinema was back in early 90′s but later it was shutdown and I’m not sure why? I wish Cinescape renovate the cinema, after all watching a blockbuster movie in the open in this amazing weather is absolutely fun.

I was patiently waiting for The Hobbit movie which I heard is the biggest production of Hollywood for year 2012, it’s supposed to be the new installment of The Lord Of The Rings movie but basically it’s based on a different fantasy novel published in 1937 named “The Hobbit, or There and Back Again”.

The story revolves about a curious Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, who journeys to the lonely mountain with a group of dwarves to reclaim a treasure stolen from them by the dragon Smaug. I saw there were major changes in the cast but from the same director Peter Jackson. It will be exclusively released in Kuwait tomorrow at Grand Hamra cinema which is one day before the U.S release date, interesting. I’ll make my booking today and hopefully it turns out worthy.
