Remember my post regarding the enforcement of Movies Rating System in Kuwait cinemas back in September 2011, I just saw an announcement from Cinescape stating that from now on all movies marked 16+ will only be allowed for individuals aged 16 years and older and those who are younger won’t be allowed to enter the theater and in case they were found inside the theater they will be asked to leave and will not be compensated, and this is in compliance with Ministry of Information law. It’s about time to see Movies Rating enforced! I was hoping that they apply the complete movie ratings but that’s good for a start, what do you think?

My argument was that little kids shouldn’t see extreme violence in some movies which can really have bad effects on their mental health and behavior. Cinecape used to include movie ratings on their website but there was no enforcement. I’m now wondering if movies censorship will be less strict since this law was applied.

Remember the horrifying possessed serial killer Chucky from Child’s Play; the 1988 horror movie series that made many of us hide under our beds back then. I remember I saw at least 4 or five parts of that movie and that toy is indeed scary as hell, and if you thought that it’s gone after all those years, think twice and thrice because Chucky’s back and this time in Kuwait, it’s wandering among us in places you wouldn’t even expect. So if you thought that going to The Prestige District of the Avenues or camping in Kuwait desert or even getting yourself a fast meal from McDonald’s in safe, think again.

An old fellow of mine was trying to bring Chucky back, seemingly doing resurrection, he basically took Chucky almost everywhere around Kuwait and took shots. The funny part was the kinda “scared look” people get when ever he shows off Chucky. I suppose the hunt from the childhood is still there for many people, including me sometimes. Can you imagine that my friend has a room in his house full of characters from movies (see video above).

اين ستذهلون هذا المساء؟ اعلم ان لدينا العديد من الفعاليات لعطلة نهاية هذا الاسبوع فغدا سينطلق مهرجان هلا فبراير بكرنفال كبير في شارع سالم المبارك في السالمية كذلك سيكون هناك عرض للدراجات النارية بالقرب من فندق سفير انترناشينال على شارع الخليج العربي ولا ننسا كذلك العرض الرائع لقفز الدراجات الذي سينظمه Red Bull في واجهة ابراج الكويت. نعم انه اسبوع حافل بالفعل ولكن هذا ليس كل شيء فلدينا ايضا مجموعة رائعة من الافلام السينمائية الذي قمت باختيارها لكم واعتقد انها تستحق المشاهدة, حسنا الآن لنرى ما لدينا:ا

الفلم الاول لهذا الاسبوع هو الجزء الجديد لفلم الاكشن والحركة الشهير Die Hard الذي كان اهم اسباب شهرة النجم Bruce Willis في تسعينيات القرن الماضي, هذا الجزء بعنوان A Good Day to Die Hard وحسبما قرأت ان قصته تدور حول قيام العميل جون مكلين بالسفر إلى روسيا لمساعدة ابنه الضال جاك. فيكتشف أن جاك يعمل مع السي آي اي على منع سرقة الأسلحة النووية، مما تسبب في تضامنهما كفريق واحد ضد القوات الاخرى. الفلم سيعرض بتقنية IMAX واعتقد ان ذلك سيكون رائع لخلق جو من المتعة والاثارة.ا

الفلم الاخر هو كذلك فلم الاكثن للنجم سلفستر ستالون الذي اثبت ان الكبر بالسن لا يمنع من اخذ ادوار الحركة والاثارة في افلامه الاخيرة, احدث فلم له باسم Bullet to the Head ولا اعلم لما يذكرني الفلم بافلام الثمانينات من الولهة الاولى حتى في طريقة اعلانه وقصته. يظهر سلفستر ستالون بهذا الفلم بدورالقاتل بعد ان شاهد زملائه يموتون حيث يتحالف مع مخبر من واشنطن دي سي من أجل إسقاط عدوهما المشترك. لا اعلم ان كان الفلم جيدا ولكن اعتقد ان الفلم مليئ بالقتل لذلك لا انصح باصطحاب الاطفال لمشاهدته.ا

الذي استغرق ٨ سنوات لتصوير لقطات من قعر الإعصار و تمت ترجمته و دبلجته.ا Tornado Alley 3Dاما الفلم الثالث لدينا فهو الفلم العلمي الوثائقي

A reader to our blog sent us email informing us that iPhone/iPad version for Grand Hamra Cinema App was just released and it’s available on iTunes store, several readers were asking about it. Get it here [link].

Speaking of Grand Cinemas I saw they will release new big movie hits such as Jurassic Park 3D, Oz the Great and Powerful, Hansel and Gretel, Jack The Giant Slayer among others in the next few months. I’m guessing many blockbuster flicks are coming up I’ll make a separate post to talk about the big movie hits for 2013, stay tuned fellas.

عودتكم في نهاية كل اسبوع ان اكتب موضوعا عن الافلام التى اعتقد انها تستحق المشاهدة في السينما, واعود اليكم هذا الاسبوع بمجموعة من الافلام اولها فلم الاكشن والجريمة من بطولة النجم وبطل كمال الاجسام العالمي السابق وكذلك حاكم ولاية كاليفورنا سابقا, هل عرفتوه؟ اعتقد ذلك, نعم انه آرنولد شوارزنيجر بطل سلسلة افلام Terminator الشهيرة والتى اعلن للتو انه سيكون هناك جزء 5. حسنا على ما يبدوا ان آرنولد لم يرق له عالم السياسة كثيرا فقرر العودة لعالم السينما والفن السابع رغم تقدمه بالسن, فلمه الجديد باسم The Last Stand واعجبني ملصقه وفعلا يذكرني باعلانات افلام الثمانينيات, قرأت ان احداث الفلم تدور حول زعيم عصابة مخدرات يخرج من قاعة المحكمة ليسرع في اتجاه الحدود المكسيكية، حيث العقبة الوحيدة في دربه هم رئيس الشرطه موظفيه عديم الخبرة. سأشاهد الفلم واتمنا ان يكون بالمستوى المطلوب.ا

اما الفلم الاخر فهو فلم الرعب الذي كان بالاساس لعبة على اجهزة Play Station وهو فلم Silent Hill: Revelation الذي عاد بجزء جديد تروي قصته انه عندما يختفي والدها، تتوجه هيذر ميسون إلى واقع بديل غريب ومرعب ولكن يحمل الإجابات على الكوابيس المروعة التي ابتليت بها منذ الطفولة. شاهدت الفلم بالأمس وشخصيا لم يعجبني ولكن قد يعجبكم خصوصا اذا كنتم من محبي هذا النوع من الافلام ولكن احرصوا على مشاهدته بتقنية 3D.ا
