I saw this nice video for a charity campaign ran by a group of Kuwaitis with small businesses called “Plus One and Draw a Smile”, it basically aims to provide healthy food to the poor neighborhoods and minimum wages workers all across Kuwait. I’m so glad to see that there’s still good in the world and hope to see more similar initiatives.
We at BananaQ8 Blog wish to thank all the people behind this humane campaign, anyone who wishes to join their campaign can give them a call.

How many times you had countless coins (5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 fils) in your wallet or say car that you wished to change into notes? A visitor to our blog has spotted machines that actually change coins into notes at Rawda Co-op society. All one should do is place the un-needed coins and machine will count them and give you a receipt and cashier will give you the amount in notes, cool.
I wish they install more of these machines at shopping stores like Sultan Center, Lulu Hyper Market, Carrefour, Geant and others.
Thanks [Daljit]

I was checking my email Hotmail (yes I still use it after 15 years) and I received announcement from Microsoft that Hotmail has been ditched and replaced with new Outlook email. I checked it and noticed that it has sharp new look and it can be integrated with your Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google and SkyDrive accounts.
The new Outlook email design is based on Windows 8. Since it was just launched then there are big chances that you can get your desired username for your email account, I think “Tazmania@outlook.com” would look cool. Sign in Outlook email here

I saw by the entrance of Avenues mall that they now have scooter rentals which are specially designed for elderly and disabled individuals. Nice initiative from the Avenues and hope to see the other malls do the same.

I received a brochure about the relatively new shipping company in Kuwait named Posta plus, it’s similar to Aramex, they get you an address in U.S and the UK so customer can order from online shopping stores such as Amazon, ebay, Apple… etc. and they will deliver order to his doorstep.
I called them the other day and asked about their pricing, they said for the new My Box service the cost is KD7 , and the shipping time is 6 to 10 days maximum to deliver from their address in the U.S. I’m considering to make an order for a customized laptop from Alienware but I wanted to know if anyone tried them before? Are they handy? Good customer support?

Who do you think is more tidy and organized, Men or Women? I was finishing some paper work at one of the governmental authorities and came across two desks (one for a man and other for a lady) and its kinda funny how they looked totally different, I think the same applies for bedrooms.
On the other hand, I think men cars are much more neat than the ones owned by the fairer sex.

I’m getting back pain in the morning these days because my mattress developed a dent right in the middle, so I thought it’s time to replace it with a new one. The Bed shop sent me email saying they are running an offer in which they will donate your old mattress to the poor and give 5% off on their mattresses so I paid their branch in Hawally a quick visit to see what they got.
They had a nice variety of Tempur mattresses but some were in the KD200-400 range (with the bed I think). I tried to lay down on some of their mattresses to see how they feel, I was satisfied but I wanted your kind opinion.
Do you know a good store selling quality mattresses for a reasonable price or should I just stick to The Bed Shop?

I was in Shuweikh today and the traffic light was so congested to the point that even when the light is green you still can’t move because the opposite side with red traffic light is still blocking the intersection then your light turn red again, also the buses won’t stop! I’m noticing this irritating problem with several road intersections in Kuwait. I think they should re-set the timing for traffic lights to help solve this problem.
