A couple weeks back I guessed that Miu Miu boutique will open around this time and guess what fashionistas? I’m now in 360 mall and I’m seeing the staff of the boutique are preparing for the opening, I asked when exactly they will open? They said in about two hours (12:00 PM noon), cool. It’s located opposite to Bottega Veneta nearby Prada.
This is their first boutique in Kuwait, I’ll try to take some shots of the once it’s fully opened.
Update: I received some shots from the opening, see below.

I was at Marina Mall this early morning and spotted staff from AlShaya removing the hoarding for Topshop in preparation for opening, it’s located in the same place in the same location of old Boots Pharmacy. The other branch is located at the Avenues Mall.

I was at Al Hamra Luxury Center and saw that the hoarding for GUCCI boutique was removed in preparation for the opening, it’s whopping big I guess their collection will be very large too. I’m noticing that new luxury boutiques in Kuwait are becoming bigger, a good example of that is Prada in 360 Mall, maybe they realized that Kuwait is a big market for luxury goods?
Update: Gucci boutique is now officially open, I had a little tour inside and it was really big, the biggest in GCC I believe, that’s not everything; the interior looked really exquisite and there were screens displaying their latest collections, the way they displayed their collections is also admirable.

Looks like luxury Italian brand Miu Miu will open sooner than I thought, I was at 360 Mall last night and noticed that they have already removed the hoarding in preparation for the opening. I’m guessing that it will open in couple weeks, give or take a few days.
It’s located opposite to Bottega Veneta and Prada.

More and more stores are opening at Al Hamra mall, latest is my favorite British shoemaker, Harrys of London, that was opened at level 2 of the mall. It was nice but it was also small on the inside, wish it was bigger with more space to move and to see their collection.
Their other store is located at 360 Mall.

What I like about the Avenues mall is that almost every time I’m there I see new stores opening or opening soon. This time I spotted the following fashion and beauty stores;
Stradivarius: Opened at level just above Shake Shack, it’s is an international women clothing fashion brand from Spain.
L’Occitane: Opened in ground floor almost opposite to Baroue, it’s an international retailer of body, face, and home products based in France.

If there’s something that I really like, then it’s watches; whether sport, luxury, casual, smart. I was at Hamra Luxury Center and saw that Officine Panerai has just opened, it’s a luxury brand from Italy founded in 1860. Though what I like about them is that they produce watches in limited run, so you when you buy a watch you don’t see others that sporting the same watch (I guess some people like this).

They had four lines of watches; Historic, Contemporary, Manifattura and Special Editions. I’m currently seeking to buy a luxury watch but I’m still undecided what brand should I go for, do you think their watches look cool?

I passed this afternoon by the recently opened Destination XL at Symphony Mall which is just next to Missoni Hotel in Salmiya to see what they got. I recall Destination XL in the U.S and the U.K, they are the largest store for men’s big and tall clothing, shoes in extended sizes, accessories, and home and living products. In Kuwait we used to have KitKat store, I suppose many of you saw it in Salmiya but it only has casual stuff and no luxury brands or suits.
Inside Destination XL store, it was huge with total area of about 1,000 Sq. meter, there were many brands including Polo Ralph Lauren, Rochester, Levi’s, Reebok, Nautica and several others. They said they have size XL, XXL, XXXL up to 6XL. I saw casual stuff, jeanz, suits, underwear, shoes, socks, shirts, t-shirts… etc. and the changing rooms were also designed to be big. I find it a good spot for those who seek large sizes without scarifying style. Honestly I haven’t checked their prices so I can’t pass my opinion on that but in case you go you can share with us your feed back.

I was going for a movie at 360 Mall last night and I saw a shop selling new colored contact lenses for men (blue, smooky grey, green, caramel brown, hazel… etc.), it caught my attention because I never saw men wearing colored contact lenses before but that doesn’t mean I’m against men to be stylish and cool, wonder if this will turn into a Habba (trend) in soon future.
However, many I suppose would view this as “gayish”, but I’d rather call it Metrosexual; which is a relatively new term for a man that spends so much time and money on shopping and caring for his appearence (high-maintenance). There are many popular celebtrities that are considered “Metrosexual”; Johnny Depp, David Beckham, Ashton Kutcher, Brad Pitt to name a few. I’m also seeing many Metro men in Kuwait thesedays, so frankly ladies do you find these men atrractive or you prefer the macho ones?

I saw Beidoun has opened yet another branch in Kuwait and this time in Hamra Mall, they changed their interior decorations in this outlet and it looked bigger and neater than the older ones.
