Prada is finally here! I was at 360 Mall for breakfast and spotted the first boutique in Kuwait for the Italian luxury fashion label, Prada, opening soon. The boutique is located on the ground floor opposite to Gucci boutique by the main entrance. I tried to ask when exactly they will open but I couldn’t get a specific answer, but I’m guessing October or November. Though I was told that Prada botuique will open before their little daughter brand miu miu which is also opening in 360 Mall nearby Prada.
The store looks it’s going to be big, now little about Prada; it’s a luxury brand specialized in goods for men and women (ready-to-wear, leather accessories, shoes, luggage and hats), founded in 1913. Benvenuto Prada!

Gucci has released exclusive bags and accessories with Kuwait flag . If my memory serves me correct Gucci stated several weeks ago that this 1974-based design collection was exclsively made for Kuwait and 25% of the money will be donated to Bayt Abdullah Children’s Hospice (BACCH), nice. The collection is available at their 360 Mall boutique.

Tommy Hilfiger has opened their 2nd store at the Avenues Mall which is specialized for kids, it’s located on the 1st level in Phase-II just above Pinkberry. I like their stuff but hopefully their prices will be affordable.

I was shopping at the Avenues Mall last night and saw number of new stores opening.
Tommy Hilfiger: It seems they are expanding and they will open their 2nd store at Phase II of the mall, their first store is at 360 Mall.
Victoria’s Secret: I read they are re-locating, their store opposite to NBK will be closed and relocated to Level I and will open mid September.
Stradivarius: Opening at level I just above Shake Shack, it’s is an international women clothing fashion brand from Spain.
Geddes & Gillmore: American fashion casual store for both Men and Women opening nearby VaVaVoom, I’m not sure if this is their first store in Kuwait.

If there’s one thing about Kuwait, then it’s certainly the expos. One of the expos that I like visiting before is the White Expo which brings numerous unique Kuwaiti entrepreneurs such as fashion, sweets, food, accessories… etc. under one roof. I remember I made coverage for White Expo when I started blogging back in 2010 and I’m planning for another visit this year.

I was dining at Cafe Meem in Hamra Mall and noticed Hugo Boss store opened at level 2, this is the 4th store in Kuwait and its almost as big as the Avenues branch. On the other hand, I’m seeing that Hamra Mall is starting to get busy nowadays with more stores and restaurants opening, I think it will be even busier when the Grand Cinema opens soon.
Also Harrys of London and British brand Ted Baker will open 2nd store at the same level.

I was dining at Marina Mall last night and saw they have re-opened Boots pharmacy beside The Body Shop, its now bigger.
Also M.H. Alshaya Co will open another branch of Top Shop in the same location of old Boots Pharmacy. There’s a store opening for Ahmed Yousef Behbehani for watches opposite to VaVaVoom, yet I’m not yet sure what watches brands they got.

I passed by Marina Mall this early morning and saw many fashion brands such as Boggi, Boss, Timberland, Guess, French Connection, Massimo Dutti, adidas, Foot Avenue, Aldo, and many others are making great sales up to 75% off so I decided to do shopping on the spot.
I think Kuwait is a great shopping destination if you choose the right time, question is what is the best time for shopping in Kuwait? Well, great sales usually take place between late December to February and beginning of June to end of July.
So you’re a shopaholic, these are the best times and can save you bunch of KDs.

A few days ago I posted about about Villa Moda making public auction on their goods and office equipment and my fear was that they’re shutting down, I’m sad to say that I received news confirming that there are some issues in the company and they’re closing down when their goods are sold. Too bad it was a fine place for luxury shopping.

I was having my morning coffee at Marina Mall and noted there was a small fair organized by British clothing brand Jack Wills, I chit chatted with their marketing manager who said that that will open their first franchise store in the Middle East in Kuwait on September at Avenues Phase III through AlShaya.
I checked some of their stuff and it seemed they’re targeting college students, the quality and designs were good. I asked about price range; they said it will be close to prices in the U.K.

Villa Moda at Free Zone in Shuwaikh is one of my favorite fashion shopping spots in Kuwait, but I noted lately that they’re not like before and in my last visit I felt it was kinda deserted with a few employees to attend customers, and they didn’t have new collections, is there an issue?
I also saw on SpeakTheBlues blog that they’re making public auction on their goods and office equipment, I hope they’re not shutting down like the rest of stores at the Free Zone.
