I was at 360 Mall and noticed there was a recycling expo organized by young Kuwaitis who have responsibility toward environment, they were collecting old phones, CDs, and other obsolete electronics for recycling them, nice.
I’m noticing more recycling awareness campaigns in Kuwait in the withing the last couple years, this is great but we wish that government also build more recycling plants to Re-use more of the wastes (tires, house wastes..etc) rather than dumping them at the yards or burn them at landfills.
So if you have old phones or CDs that you wish to be recycled contact them.

I was at 360 Mall today in the moring and I saw that there’s an expo for home interior design, furniture, decoration, and accessories. I think its good for those who are looking to furnish their houses or apartments and want good offers.

Can you believe that less than 100 days are left till Ramadan? This means that time is definitely flying but it also means that shopping has started. Kuwait is famous for expos and currently there’re several expos going on where you can find accessories, jewelry, caftans, food, fashion.. etc in one place.
I made a brief list for some of present expos in Kuwait:

I think it would be great to visit the Re-use expo this weekend especially if you’re interested in recycling concept. It’s an annual expo that serves as an opportunity for non-profit organizations, companies, and creative talents to showcase their works in preserving our environment and raising awareness on the recycling concept.
I visited the expo last year and liked what I saw. See here

I read on Kuwait Times that officials from the ministry has shutdown the art gallery expo organized by popular Kuwaiti artist Shurooq Amin on the first day of launching, the officials justified the ban by stating that the displayed galleries were indecent.
“Amin said officials focused on two of her 16 works – a painting of a woman in a mini-dress sitting on a man’s lap entitled “My Mistress and Family” and a picture showing three men playing cards and drinking “grape juice” from a bottle which suggested contraband alcohol.”
What’s more interesting is how she reacted with the ban by stating that she’s now more determined than ever and that she would keep on producing art that challenges local perceptions.
