I got email from K-Cats informing me that they are organizing 2nd Cat Show Contest in Kuwait, this is the first ever cats show in the whole Middle East. We covered the contest last year and seeing and cuddling all those cute cats was absolutely fun, there were many breeds such as Persians, British, Scotish, Ragdoll, American Shorthair with long and short fur and they were all competing for the crown, I wish I could see Turkish Van this time.
There will be pro judges to evaluate the cats based on the hair grooming, bone structure and attitude I suppose. Check my last year coverage [link]

So tomorrow InfoConnect and InfoBiz 2013 annual expo will kick-off at Kuwait International Fair and extends for a week, I’m truly hoping the expo will bring us something fresh and new this year as I was disappointed last year because all I saw was Hawally shops, telecom and ISP’s companies with some offers. I’d love to see any new technologies, concepts phones or devices that are not yet released. Ok I’m not saying I’m expecting something like CES but at least I want to go to interesting futuristic stuff.
Anyhow I came to know that Microsoft Kuwait is participating this year, I hope they bring us any news on their upcoming X-Box console which will be announced by end of March I think.

I truly wish we have our own international (or at least regional) motorshow in Kuwait, yes we had annual one at Kuwait International Fair but it wasn’t as impressive as Dubai or Qatar motorshows and it wasn’t organized for 3 years now, I even overheard that Concours D’Elegance motorshow was cancelled this year, too bad. I received an invitation for a sneak peek tour for an upcoming motorshow at 360 Mall roof parking under the name Auto Moto 13, so that’s why the roof parking was closed for over a week now, I thought they were doing maintenance works. I spoke to the organizers and asked how they came with this idea and why they chose a mall for the motorshow, they said since we don’t have a motorshow in Kuwait anymore and many people love to attend such expo we thought of organizing one and invite all Kuwait auto agencies, and we chose a mall because we know how people love going to malls nowadays plus Kuwait International Fair needs to be revamped to attract visitors.
They do have a point when they said Kuwait International Fair needs to be totally renovated, actually what we really need is a new huge convention center. I saw several auto agencies such as Rolls Royce, McLaren, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Lexus, Jaguar, Infinity, SRT, Toyota, Nissan, KIA, Jeep, Doge, Volvo and others participating . They said there will be some first-time cars showing like Mercedes G63 AMG, Lexus LFA, new Nissan Z350 and others but sadly no concept cars.
They were still working when I arrived but they said the motorshow will kick off tomorrow. I suspect it will be good opportunity for those who are hunting for car offers.
I received an email from U.S Embassy in Kuwait to inform me that famous jazz band from New York City, The Chris Byars, is coming to Kuwait and will have a jazz night at Kuwait National Museum on Tuesday. This is cool I’m huge fan of jazz music, I remember The Chris Byars band came to Kuwait in 2011 and performed in 360 Mall [link]. Yes before I forget the admission is free so feel comfortable to bring along your friends and loved ones.
This is dedicated to every old-timer gamer in Kuwait, do you remember the White Tower? I was doing some shopping in Salmiya and decided to pass by it and see if its still there. I remember White Tower was the most popular gaming hub in Kuwait with numerous shops and Arcade machines back in early 90′s, it was the weekend getaway for every hard gamer. I arrived at The White Tower and saw some guys playing Street Fighter IV and Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom. I chitchatted with the owner who said that most of the games shops were closed down except the main shop and I asked why not organize a big gaming tournament to resurrect the place, he said they do have one big gaming tournament coming up in February where they will be inviting many international pro players with over $15,000 prizes, sounds fun. I tried to bring back some really old memories by actually getting some coins and playing some of the Arcade games and it was fun even though I lost almost all my gaming skills.
Do you think girls in Kuwait can be great racers? I’ve to admit I had my doubts before but I totally changed my mind in recent years and if you still think racing and speed is all about boys then think twice and thrice because Road Rush is back in its 3rd version in full throttle to prove otherwise. I posted about Road Rush last two years, it’s basically a ladies-only annual racing competition at Bahrain International Circuit where they can enjoy safe circuit race and a drag race.

GulfRun motorshow is certainly one of the events that I enjoy in Kuwait every year where people get a chance to see some of the hottest supercars out there that will participate at Bahrain International Circuit race later this month. This is the 8th consecutive year for GulfRun that was started back in 2005 as a weekend getaway for a group of friends passionate about automobile racing then developed into a big scale motorsport event.
They say the displayed supercars worth over 1 Million Dinar, they surely looked fully loaded with tuned-up engines to produce more horse power, there were also many modifications and additions made to the body. Though I noted that there were fewer supercars displayed this year compared to 2012, I didn’t see the Mercedes-Benz SLR, SLS, BMW M3, and Porsche GT but possibly because there’s another shopping expo going on inside the mall at the same time. I wish we had our own Kuwait International Circuit since we have a lot of supercars and race lovers in Kuwait, imagine how this will help them enjoy they favorite sport safely.
A friend from Side Kick Academy has called me yesterday to inform me that Jiu-Jitsu legends Royce & Royler Gracie are both coming to Kuwait to give a special 2 day training seminar. My love for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is growing up, it can really be great for self-defense in Kuwait thesedays.

I was informed by Gladiators Fighting Championship (GFC) that they will organize their 2nd cage fighting championship in Kuwait next month under the name War Of The Lions. This time they are bringing professional international UFC fighters to participate in the fights and judges from the U.S. I enjoyed the first championship but judges were irritating so I hope the championship will be more thrilling this time, I wish if we can have a fighting club with an arena in Kuwait for fighting tournaments.
