My friend bought this smart watch so-called “I’m Watch” from Europe, its a touch screen and multi-tasking watch that can be connected to smart phones (iPhone, Androids, Blackberry… etc) via bluetooth and can do many functions like making phone calls, checking your twitter account, facebook, emails, listen to music, weather, appointments… etc and supports both Arabic and English.
It has a nice TFT display and weighs about 70 grams and the size (see above) was slightly big and it comes in different colors. I saw yesterday on the paper that Abdul Rahman Al Babtain will bring it to Kuwait so I called them and they said it will be available from first of June but didn’t specify the price, but I think it won’t be less than 100 KD.

A relative of mine just bought the latest DSLR camera from Canon, EOS 5D Mark III, and luckily I got my hands on it to get some impressions. Its available in Kuwait at AAB stores (Shamiya co-op & Salmiya City Center) for 1,099 KD (body only) and for 1,325 KD with EF 24-105mm lenses.
Outside it looked similar to the previous canon cameras but it brings many new features such as 22.3-megapixel resolution, fast autofocus, 6 fps shooting, 1080p HD video recording, full-frame sensor delivering images up to ISO 102,400 and large optical viewfinder.
Also the 3.2″ rear LCD display was sharper and clearer and it shuts off when you connect an HDMI TV cable, another cool thing is that its smaller in size but was slightly heavier (900 grams) than the previous model.
Some of the shortcomings include no built-in flash, slower focus in video modes, no HDMI cable given, and pricey. I think its a great option for pro photographers but I heard that Nikon D4 is even better?
Note: Image below was shot at Shuwaikh beach at sunset using Canon EOS 5D Mark III by Sarah AlSayegh.

I stumbled upon this video on YouTube which shows a guy pouring gasoline on seven Windows based laptops and set them on fire because he’s converting to Mac OS laptops. If you ask me I’d say that this is totally insane!
He could have given the laptops to those who cannot afford buying them.

A week ago we posted about new shopping malls popping up everywhere in Kuwait, guess what? Today I was at Egaila area and I spotted a new shopping mall called Al Liwan. I’m surprised on how Kuwaitis spent 27 Million dollars for shopping in Dubai despite the infinitely many shopping malls here, as of now I’m calling Kuwait “The Malls City”.
I took quick tour inside and saw X-Cite, max, Baroue, GÉANT market, Nestle Toll House cafe, Crocs, Abdul Samad Al Qurashi, McDonald’s, Hassan optician among many other stores that are distributed on 4 levels, it could serve those who live in surrounding areas such as Fintas, Fahaheel, Egaila, and Abu Hulaifa.
Address: Egaila block 5 – Nearby Al Bairaq mall.

As I said before that some of the new specs is the faster processor A5X processor, 1 GB ram, 9.7″ Retina display with 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution, 5 MP camera, 4G LTE capability. Battery can now last for 10 hours according to Apple, dimensions are 241.2 mm x 185.7 mm x 9.4 mm and weighs 652 gram.
Downsides: It’s slightly bigger and heavier than iPad 2 and also it gets hot when you run heavy apps, but generally there’s not that much change.

So Apple has finally unveiled the specs for their awaited product, iPad 3 or as they called it the new iPad, and the first question that comes to my mind, does it really worth the long wait?
Some of the new features include faster processor A5X chip, 1 GB ram, 9.7″ display with resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, 5 MP camera, 4G LTE capability. The battery life was also improved, according to Apple it can now last for 10 hours, the dimensions are 241.2 mm x 185.7 mm x 9.4 mm and weighs 652 gram, that’s bigger and heavier than iPad 2.
Tentatively, the new added features are desirable but the price is also higher, as for the 4G LTE I don’t think it will work in Kuwait until the carriers (Zain, Wataniya, and VIVA) start providing it. The new iPad will be available starting on 16th of March at $629 (170 KD) for the 16 GB WiFi+4G.

Don’t you think we have a plenty of sunlight? Young Mr. Khalid Al Fulaij had this great idea of opening a store that is specialized in solar power products and give it the name Solarity, last night I paid his store a visit too see what they have.
Solarity sells a variety of solar products such as garden lighting, decorative lights, security lighting, mobile and battery chargers, torches, camping needs, bags and head caps, ventilators and even generators.
