Guess what fellas? There will be another Bungee jumping event at Marina Crescent after the huge success of the previous event. This is great because many weren’t able to enjoy the jump since they got fully booked last time. Check the previous event here [link]
I’m a regular visitor to The Scientific Center, I just like how they keep coming up with new activities and events for family. I passed by the TSC yesterday and saw a poster for The Robot Zoo at the adventure zone, it’s a traveling exhibit that showcases the biomechanics of giant interactive robot animals to explain how real animals work, nice. My favorite part of this expo is that it shows how mechanical/electrical engineering and human technology have developed, it’s certainly an exciting exhibit.
They say the expo will be open for visitors till November 2013, it’s a great weekend activity for the family.
I always dreamed that they bring Comics Convention (AKA Comic-Con) to Kuwait, and I got quite jealous when I knew they that they brought Comic-Con to Abu Dhabi back in 2011, there were rumors that Comic-Con is actually coming to Kuwait but rumors stayed rumors.
Short brief about Comic-Con from uncle Wikipedia;
“It’s an event showcasing comic books, science fiction/fantasy and film/television, and related popular arts, the convention now includes a larger range of pop culture elements, such as horror, animation, anime, manga, toys, collectible card games, video games, webcomics, and fantasy novel.”
Enough said, I came to know through our friend Area965 that there’re going to organize a Comic-Con-like event so-called Q8Con next summer in Kuwait. The organizers promise a fun event that attracts fans of Anime, Manga, Games and Comics. The activities include video game tournaments, cosplays, performances, artist-fan meetups and various such things and that a lot of artists, performers, producers, writers, media-personnel, artists and game designers from various parts of the world particularly the GCC. This is a first-time thing in Kuwait, hope it turns out fun.

A friend of mine who’s into motocross has informed that Jaber Al-Ahmad International Motocross Champion will kick-off tomorrow and that there will be international riders from all over the world competing. My friend also added that there are separated platforms and tents for families and bachelors. So if you liked the previous Red Bull X-Fighters Jams then I suppose you’ll enjoy this one, also it’s a great event for photo-shooters. So who’s going?
Where: Jaber Al-Sabah International Motocross Track (see location on map below)
I just received the official video for Chris “Douggs” McDougall jump from the top Al Hamra Tower which is 414 meters high. He used his GoPro camera to record the jump.
“The raw hand cam and head cam from the first ever base jumps in Kuwait. the exit point was very bad and unstable so i kicked like a bitch and i got a big booga on the camera and on my face on opening. But the one handed landing made up for the other clumsy stuff. More to come in the Middle East.”
That was one exciting jump I’m so loving the video, wish I was in Kuwait to see it with my naked eyes.
