There’s circulating news that the newly installed speed cameras will be activated starting today, I’m sure you all noticed how many speed cameras were fixed on Kuwait highways but word on the street that new cameras are smart ones that measure average speed between two points and not just the instantaneous speed, so the slow-down-then-accelerate technique won’t work.
I know the average speed camera on the 1st Ring Road is already activated, but they say many more average speed cameras will be fixed shortly. So anyone with more details regarding this?

Here in Malaysia, we call them speed traps, and there’s so many loopholes being dug out by the offenders. I don’t think they are the same as these, but it’s sure hard to escape from them.
Do Malaysia also suffer from traffic accidents due to over-speed?
يعني سواقتنا بتصير سواقة بنغالي توه ماخذ ليسن -.-
Over speeders will have a hard time driving slowly
I take the first exist before reaching the second camera, so im off the hook.
hahaha
devilish
Now going back home from work is the mission impossible for me!
haha last pic so funny
im still trying to figure out how these cameras will work since our cars are not tagged or identified by anything except for the plate numbers. it doesnt seem feasible for the camera to snap a pic of every single car (since we are always in rush hour now) and i cant imagine a dude sitting there watching a live stream of the cars passing by (im sure he will sleep on the job)
Frankly, I don’t know anything about cameras. But my brain can’t seem to fathom how they can measure each cars speed between two cameras unless they take a picture of each and somehow find a smart way to match each and measure the time.
Also, will they measure using time? Or will they use averages? Something I do know about, it is so easy to manipulate averages.
