I just found that there’s a twitter account (not sure if created by Traffic Department) that tweets full name, vehicle type, and plate number for drivers who break red traffic signals in Kuwait streets so they get totally exposed. In addition to personal information it also specifies the exact location, time, and date of the violation. Many are complaining that this is totally inappropriate.
Update: I just received information that Ministry of Interior has denied any correlation with this account, but again how they are able to obtain such specific data?

id say putting the car/plate number is alright, but putting the name is inappropriate, this is all personal information… however, the name will actually make the people notice what they have done since well, it tarnishes ones reputation
is there an insider giving out the info? or was the system hacked?
we were able to trace the account to a website and from that website to an iPhone application called q8moror which use your civil id and inquery the public egov site for traffic tickets, and we think hes recording the data.
this information from @Voulnet, @ACoders, @0xAli.
and hes also gathering @KFH/@NBK pins as well from @mbhbox finding
This is really important for Ministry of Interior to bust the people behind this account, I just read that MOI is now investigating this account. Thanks Abdul.Mohsen
so ur saying if i have an account with those, he can get my pin number for my card and show it to the world?
Scary stuff!!
hahaha i think its awesome .. 3al aqal i dont have to wait for 3 months to find out if i reeally crossed a red light wla la
This is so backwards.
Are we in 2012 almost 2013 or 1985?!
Break the law, pay the price.
Not make petty announcements on twitter.

_________
When you make authoritative statements like the above, you should mention the source. Because saying it like ‘I just received information’ makes it sound like you are influential and have connections with the law force and the government. That’s what I understand from such statements.
I hope it doesnt end up with you getting the info from a friend on blackberry lol
I’m following the official spokesman for MOI on Twitter and this is how I received the update pal.
You should always mention the source to make statements credible.
Will bear that in mind for future posts thanks.
People that run run red lights should get a much greater violation fine like 100 or 200 kd. specially those that run in in the middle of it being red just cause he thinks “el eshara fathya”
why not ? good idea , people here dont even know what side of the road they should drive on , if name and shame can get through to them then why not. They should have their licences taken off them for this and they shoudlnt have had them in the first place. they should make licences expensive and hard to get for everybody here ! the roads in kuwait are just the most chaotic and scariest thing i have ever seen. i paid well over 500 kd fot my licence in Europ, and it took me just like everybody else month to get it , i have never done anything that would put anybody in danger on the road since i got it, people here dont even wear seatbelts , kids jumping around in the front seats on the steering wheel. .. should take pics of them to name and shame imo too
