I wanted to discuss with you today about a very important issue in Kuwait that is “STEROIDS” or what are called hormones / performance enhancing drugs.
I have noticed that many young guys in Kuwait have became obsessed with steroids (thru injection of hormones or pills) to build their body muscles quickly, they have become so popular that I thought I must really bring it to surface for discussion. It has become so usual for me to see & hear guys talking about using them everyday at the Gym. What I fear most is that am pretty sure that non of those guys really knows what he’s doing to his health on both short & long term. The other problem is that Kuwaiti government (Ministry of Health & Ministry of Interior) have not yet taken proper actions.
So what are STEROIDS?
Anabolic-Androgenic Steroids are synthetically (made by chemicals) produced variants of the naturally male sex hormone testosterone. “Anabolic” refers to muscle-building, & “androgenic” refers to increased male sexual characteristics. Steroids are drugs legally prescribed (only under physician supervision) to treat conditions resulting from steroid hormone deficiency, such as delayed puberty, accidents & other diseases.
Nowadays, many amateur bodybuilders are abusing them to get those HUGE-SIZED muscles without even trying to understand their serious side effects.

What are the Side-Effects of Steroids on Health?
Steroid abuse can lead to serious, even irreversible health problems. Some of the most dangerous among these include liver damage; yellowish pigmentation of skin, tissues, & body fluids; fluid retention; high blood pressure; increases in LDL (“bad” cholesterol); & decreases in HDL (“good” cholesterol). Other reported effects include hair loss, renal failure, severe acne, & trembling. In addition, there are some gender- and age-specific adverse effects:
- For men— shrinking of the testicles, reduced sperm count, infertility, baldness, development of breasts, increased risk for prostate cancer.
- For women— growth of facial hair, male-pattern baldness, changes in or cessation of the menstrual cycle, enlargement of the clitoris, deepened voice.
- For adolescents— stunted growth due to premature skeletal maturation & accelerated puberty changes; risk of not reaching expected height if steroids taken before the typical adolescent growth spurt.
In addition, people who inject steroids run the added risk of contracting or transmitting HIV/AIDS or hepatitis.

GOODNESS, DID YOU EVEN BOTHER TO READ MY POST ??
Walla zain yebt hal mawthoo3, LOTS of people are getting ripped in front of my eyes by using these enhancing drugs. In my point of view some die by being ignorant and taking all of those pills or doses incorrectly and they have no idea of the side effects.
Its like cheating, theres always consequences for both sides.
Id rather stay the way i am and do some natural workouts without being bulk and have a small chance of dieing…
I cant stop the people around me from doing this since if i talk about it and state facts they think I am the one whos ignorant :P.
oh so you are in a similar place just like me, when i go to gym I see needles everywhere in the toilet, by my car. I even saw one guy injecting his friend just beside the gym entrance !

No one can imagine how steroids are harmful for the body and the health of the humans.
In summary it looks like taking from your health reserve now while you are young to be a superman, but when you need this reserve in your older age you find your balance empty and you will suffer so much or even die.
I was a body builder about 15 years ago and I was competing with many body builders who were using steroids and beating them, no one could believe me that I never use steroids, but what I did to do a physique just like those people who use steroids.
1- very good natural nutrition.
2- Reading a lot about body building and the best exercises and programs.
3 Working very hard at the gym.
4- No smoking or any other bad habits.
Sleep well, and much more.
at the end my advice is stop using steroids, OK it will make you a hero and super man just right now and it will make you a hopeless person in the future.
You by yourself only have the decision you can chose but don’t regret in the future it was your choice from the begging.
Good luck for every one.

It is very dangerous, it’s like your injecting poison into your body.. I just hope there is a way we can make people more aware of the dangers because it seems nowadays almost everyone is on steroids..
