I got shocked when I saw the latest picture taken for Jaber International Stadium, it shows improper leveled court with no grass and it looks rather deserted. Now I can tell why Real Madrid rejected to play at Jaber International Stadium even though I overheard that government spent over 80 Million Dinars for the construction only to find out later that there are many mistakes in the project.
I read on the papers couple months back that an expert said even used grass is for gardens, the stadium is now closed and will not open before December 2012.

To show you how sad and corrupt this country is, i’ll will give you a fair comparison. Jaber stadium cost close to 100 million KD!…… which is the same cost to build as the Allianz Stadium for Bayern Munich! and for the people dont know what i’m talking about just click this link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allianz_Arena)
the cost of construction for the Allianz was 286 million Euro = 101 Million KD
100 Million KD!!! that’s heavy!!!
Not defending anyone here, but stadiums are that expensive. Emirates stadium (more than 60,000 seats – finished in 2003) construction cost (only the stadium and not the project) is around 170 Million KD. the newly built Olympic Stadium in London (more than 80,000 seats) costed more than 200 Million KD. Cape town stadium (more than 60,000 seats – finished in 2009) costed around 180 Million KD.

The whole point is to show that if we are going to spend that much, why don’t we build something proper. Instead of stealing. Like you said the goverment spent OVER 80 million KD to build the stadium. I provided everyone with the cost of the Allianz stadium which is today considered one of the best in Europe and the world.

go check in google the cost of Reliant stadium in Houston which is state of the art.it has a retractable roof .construction started march 2000 , opening of the stadium aug. 2002 . the total cost 351 million dollar capacity 71,054. They were so lucky that they do not have Alkhorafi corrupted company to build it for them in America.many events are held in this stadium . football , rodio , cancerts , you name it.
Look at who disigned, constructed and supervised the whole jaber stadium project.Alkhorafi and Ministry of Public work .corrupted comapny and corrupted supervisors of the ministry who accepted the project with out event making any effort to check if it was done as per specifications or not.where are the engineers of the ministry of public works who supervised this project , they should be prosecuted along with the contractor and send to court for trial for negligence.
