I was shopping at Mall of Emirates a while ago and spotted signs and screens enforcing dress code, the signs say that respectful clothing and attitude is highly appreciated, however I noticed that most people are neglecting these signs. I also read before that Dubai has banned all forms of nudity, playing music loudly and dancing, unmarried couples holding hands… etc.

I saw them last night, what time were you at MOE?
LOL, I guess this means boys are banned from wearing boxers to the mall? I’d hate it if ‘decency’ is applied only to women.
Men have hair that covers their legs.
nice…but i guess it’s useless people as you said ignoring these signs….and this is what i hate in Dubai, the city have lost the Arab touch, it’s more like a non Muslim, it’s not that i’m against making the country open but i feel like Dubai lost it’s identity…
The identity is there. Go to jumeira or za3beel.
Dubai is like New York or Singapore or London. Cosmopolitan. Giving the people what they want.
It’s all there in Dubai, mosques, malls, hotels, restaurants, bars, sports, eduction, museums, Islamic lessons.
Your choice.
That’s why I hate Dubai.
They give you the illusion of a western world and freedom but it’s no way near that. The freedom and openness is too fake for me to be comfortable in. Ya you are okay with it ya la.. why pretend?
