I came across this recent photo for Kuwaiti singer, Shams, standing next to umpteen expensive shoes that she bought in less than a year or so bragging that she rarely wears the same shoes. I think this isn’t just the case with shoes, some girls spend countless KDs on expensive high-end bags, luxury watches, and even make-up yet they’re embarrassed to wear/use them for more than a few times and then they quickly decide they need to shop again.
So the question here; Do we have fashion mania in Kuwait? Please don’t get me all wrong I’m a fashion lover myself but when some girls spend almost all of their income on that 700-900 KD luxury bag or that 250 KD pair of shoes and we rarely see them wearing the same things again then I guess yes we do have a slight issue here.

IF more than half of so called females here went out without their make-up and other ‘Pick-up-attention- accessories I’ll cut my head.
85% of them are entirely in-secure, low self-esteem, no confidence and inferior complex issues which they hide under excessive make-up, highest high heels (Like it’s a tower competition) yet they can barely walk in them make the strides they make look so stupid and behind big rings/watches and bags which probably have more than 50% of debts waiting to be paid.
My sister spend 350KD on a bag and I believe it is because living her, working here and having so many local friend influence she is under the virus and it is not too late to cure it.
Therefore – there is not a slight problem here but a major social and personality problem which has started from childhood mainly the houses as they got no attention from parents and seek it elsewhere and end up in wrong situations.
Agree with me and I aware you with having the courage to accept your reality. Disagree, and I feel no pity because you are a lost soul who are trying to be someone you are not.

looooooooool sorry but this is too ridiculous. I normally buy that amount of shoes in a month, and yes brands….now i am not trying to brag but Has anyone seen mariah carey’s shoes closet??? or kim kardashians? or paris hiltons?? those are people who have all the right to brag about alot of shoes, not some black haired “OOMPA LOOMPA” with 17 pairs of shoes which she can even afford to put in a separate shoe closet room.
lol :P funny topic :P coz i have that problem too.. i do spend all my money on bags , shoes , clothes n jewalerry.. but i don’t like wearing make up unless its a big event! some girls wear make up everyday!!! for work!!

Well, I don’t have this problem, if I buy something expensive I want to make sure I am wearing it alot (Akida
), well money is not grown in trees, you need to earn it. And yes I do apply makeup at work, not alot, just the powder, kajal, mascara and a lebello. I don’t apply makeup coz I have low self esteem or I lack confidence, each personality is different, its just I like applying makeup and love to watch youtube tutorials and enjoy them and love to experiment new things when going for a outing. At the same time, I don’t want to lack knowledge about many other things so I make sure I am updated with news that is happening around and read books.
